Perhaps I missed something, it wouldn't be the first time, but I noticed some users have quite a few bronze achievements. I undertand that some may be earned multile times, but then those show how many times they were earned in the profile. Some user have quite a few and I go to their profile out of curiosity and it doesn't add up. I can't be the first to notice this. Just checked and I am apparently one of them.
While I am not positive, I know in the past 6-8 months or so a couple achievements have changed. Could be that you got a few in the past, then they changed the criteria and it doesn't show the new one because you haven't received/earned it, but kept the old medals.
Mine seems to add up, possibly because I haven't been active on the site as long as your profile has. But I do see the error in yours.
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. - T. E. Lawrence
I think the system is a bit glitchy. Your achievements will definitely add up in your own user profile, but when you visit the user profile of someone else, the achievement counts you see on multiple-time achievements are actually still your own.
I'm not sure why it happens but it's a known issue, just not a very high-priority one.

This explains perfectly why the numbers do not add up when viewing someone elses profile.
If people are seeing their own not adding up though, it may be something we need to look into and fix down the road.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

just added mine out of curiosity, mine work, and I am a "new member" (december 2014) so maybe it is the change thingy.
Yeah mine don't add up at all. I will take the free Bronze Achievements though!
I have no time for gains!
