Are you trying to run HS in the background? That will bring everything to a grinding halt. Also, if it's Windows, just buy a new machine like Microsoft is prodding you to do - each update slow it down a little as a gentle nudge in the direction of a new license.

We hope to improve website speed in the future. I know, it's really annoying when your pages take ages to fully load; and there's not a whole lot that can be done as of now. Sorry for any inconvenience we've caused.
Any updates on this, even on new machine this site is performing terribly. Tried adblock, turning of js, different browser on different machines, still bad performance.

Disable trackers also... average number on this site is sth around 10...
also disconnect reports 9 requests
added up by the adblocker with 8 requests...
20 requests from stuff which could be described as trash... hf while blocking ^^
How does one disconnect reports 9 requests? Also-- what does that mean? I want to do that even though I have zero notion of what that can do...
I enjoy.
disconnect is an add-on (browser-extension) from github...
NoScript, Ghostery, UBlock, Disconnect = free the internet at least in some parts ^^
