We've acknowledged slowness / lag in several threads on these forums. It's something we know needs to be addressed and there's a lot of people here that are interested in making fixes to make that happen.
It's not going to be an immediate thing, and it isn't exactly an easy fix. We're thankful for everyone's feedback.
Thanks for response.
Certainly not an instant fix, but a very high priority before adding anything new.

Each page is about 6-34mb of data to load. I would look at that

Data isn't killing the site, the main issue is some javascript that runs. Yes, some pages may load a lot of data but that's due to them being populated with many, many images. That's the way galleries work ;)
For me it's just the home page that takes long to load... I think it's a problem of to much data transferred/computed at the same time (flash adds+ videos on the news + decks interactive selection + notifications on the top + check of trophies earn + ...)
With a good connection all is fine thought... ^^

There is no cancer deck in hearthstone ! You are the Cancer !
It works fine for me, no lag on my PC nor on my phone
What's your PC browser?
Edit: I just switched to Chrome and it's noticeably better. So it must be something that changed in regards to Firefox (and maybe other browsers too), recently. Or is it some recent Firefox update?
Same here...especially with Mozilla Firefox for some reason, which is my standard browser....annoying! :/
I assume it's due to such high activity now as a result of the new expansion coming out, I guess they'd have to invest in a new server to solve this, not sure if they feel that's worth since it's mostly a problem the few weeks before and after a new release.

What is Hearthstone to you? A fun and semi-competitive game with wacky effects and crazy RNG outcomes or just a card game you wanna grind as many wins you can get as fast as possible in?
Using Chrome and it seems fine. this was on the front page:
Remember: Chrome gets to see golden cards in the best quality possible! Also, you need to mouseover golden cards on our database to view their animations. This is to help prevent browsers from crashing.
I'm also still struggling with this site in Firefox. I'm not changing browsers for one website. The problem is on Hearthpwn's end. Not experiencing extreme lag with any other site.

lol if you see a simple solution and don't take it the problem can't be annoying enough for you...I changed and it's better on Chrome....not perfect, but not as bad as on Firefox.
Tried stressing my browser now by opening multiple threads and navigating all over the page...it sometimes freezes for a few seconds, but then rapidly does all your actions....that might be my laptop/internets fault so I'd say Chrome works great!

There is too much going on. All the frames and decks and leader-boards and whatever hidden tracking and data-mining you have going on. It's like browsing through quicksand. I can't even type out this post without being constantly slowed down by lag.
This website really needs to be improved. It's slow to the point where I feel embarrassed for the people who run it. I'd rather have a fast/optimized website than a stupid pack simulator. Also, I can't believe you guys removed the blue tracker for that leader-board. It's so lame.
quicksand is a good way to describe this website now on firefox.
seriously though there are a lot of stuff running on this site. just taking a cursory look, there is pubmatic, rubiconproject, adtechus, lijit, caselmedia, amazon-adsystem, brealtime, criteo,
I love this site cause it has everything for heartstone but at the same time it's a pain in the ass to even try and navigate this site. I am using google chrome and adblock.
I would look at that
Same here, it has gotten horrible in the past month. It actually loads faster on my HTC One than my top of the line PC lol...
I agree, the site has gotten ridiculously slow. Please do something about it!

Tried FireFox 47 beta 1 today. Still slow like before. A little better in Safari.
Guess it has something to do with how FireFox interacts with this site, which sucks, because I don't like or want to use the Chrome browser.. :(

So bad, this overheat´s my table. I only log in on pc.
Yes, it got somewhat better. Then suddenly went worse. Sometimes it hangs and chrome asks to stop running Javascript because it isn't responding.

Is it just me or the site was actually fine before the introduction of deck collections? In Firefox, of course.

I use firefox with adblock and i often get messages concerning not reacting scripts, which make the site slow.
Edit: Error message says script: http://static-hearth.cursecdn.com/1-0-5962-13325/js/core.js:28 is the culprit.
it seems to be pretty heavy
opening the main page always makes my streams lag for a few seconds... it requires a lot of ressources to get loaded
