Sorry about the slow web browsing on some mobile devices. We know the site has not been optimized for mobile, and that some do experience more slow downs than others depending on device; It is on the list of things that need to be improved.
I personally don't have any issues with the site using Chrome on my Galaxy S4. Perhaps you can try using a different browser to see if that changes anything.
Too much advertisements, tracking etc, basically too much Javascript. Disable Javascript and see how fast it loads. Some features might not work though.
It's funny because it says "This site works best with JavaScript enabled. Please enable JavaScript to get the best experience from this site." when you disable Javascript. But this site works best when Javascript is disabled, performance-wise. This is an issue across all Curse websites, they don't seem to care about front-end performance, as long as $$$ from ads are coming in.
Yea, it does load faster with javascript toggled off. However, like you said, some feature don't work. You actully can't even post/comment etc with it disabled, lol.
I don't want to sound douchy nor come on as a know it all mainly because I gratefully appreciate the content here and the design of it but I own a Galaxy Tab 4, your website on here feels like I'm back in time using Windows 98 on 56k.
I tried 4 different browser (litteraly got all of them because of you guys to see if the default one was problematic which is normally the case) but no go. I did have luck using CM Browser but it still remained clunky as shit. To give you an an example. Since I'm typing faster than its actually loading up up the characters, it's not registering 1/4 of what I type. Clicking buttons means about 4 second delay. And moving the website up and down means I get a break on on the way lol. Before thisthis post I've actually refrained from posting anything so fixing this or if you guys are aware of any solutions, this would greatly improve my contribution here. I even thought at some point that maybe there was an app somewhere for browsing but I didn't see any.
I'm willing to help you guys out if you need more details or assistance. Didn't think someone else had this soo.
It's also slow on my 2014 Macbook Pro 13". It might be that it runs slower on devices that aren't as powerful as dektop PC's, or that it only runs well on Windows OS.
I used NoScript to turn off all the tracking stuff, so that only the basic functionality is left (like searching decks and commenting). It's still just as slow, so the slow js appears to be from your CDN/side.
I have no issues with the site being slow, but it eats my CPU like crazy, especially on Firefox (latest version, macOs). It slows down everything in my system overall, even when I'm not actively browsing the site.
On my PC i (usually) don't experience any issues or slowdowns, but i do have a somewhat powerful system with a 120mbps connection so that is probably why. The website itself seems to have varied performance dependent on hardware/connection.
On my nexus 5 it tends to be a lot slower. Especially if i am trying to search through decks and such. Trying to enter information is sluggish over 4G and a bit better if on wifi. Reminds me of navigating through the old last.fm if anyone is familiar with that. Used to be my benchmark for loading website that are slower than an elderly woman paying for something while i am in line waiting to get out of said store. Probably not a fair comparison because the old lady can't really help it. It would be nice if those responsible for designing and maintaining this domain could take some time to focus on taking what features exist and optimizing them as well as the rest of the website so it all flows well and is consistently snappy over many devices.
Keep in mind if have little experience in web design and programming, especially for something of this magnitude, and i have no idea how the actual business end of this operation is managed, but i figured i would add my thoughts in the hope of inspiring improvement. Unfortunately the cynic in me feels like the people who actually receive this and other feedback don't have so much control over it because perhaps the big boss of curse needs more important deadlines to be met because $$$$$$ is more important than =D=D=D
Personally, I don't have any issues with loading speeds. It's not the fastest website for me, but I've encountered slower ones too.
And to be clear, enabling JavaScript "for a better experience" means enabling features on this website, such as hovering over keywords like Taunt to see a description, and other niceties. If you strictly want faster load times, enabling JavaScript may not be the right way to go.
I switched from Chrome to Firefox not too long ago. It seems faster in Firefox to me. (Although, there are some bugs in the way it renders in Firefox, like the blank text on the deck search pages.)
I noticed it's better now. It used to be the case that if I left a tab open, my CPU would emit an insane amount of heat. Basically, if the fan got really loud, and my macbook pro was super hot to the touch, then I knew I left hearthpwn open in a tab.
However, this is not happening anymore. It's not as responsive as other websites, but hey... at least it's no so broken that I have to close a tab almost as soon as I open it. I'd say it's about as good as any other site, but could use improvements in javascript performance..
Every tablet I have ever tried to access the site on falls apart on itself. Takes about 4 billion years to load and forums/collection stuff just doesn't work at all.
Are there any plans to optimize the site for mobile viewing in the future? Since i feel that would kinda keep a lot of people from coming to the site.

Hey guys, I've been having this problem for some weeks now. For starters, whenever I open a thread, it takes a solid 1 minute to load (even Firefox goes to not responding). When it finishes loading, it still works slow, whenever I try to write a post, it freezes, then the words start showing, then it freezes again... It's literally happening now as I write this lol.
Whenever I open a thread, Firefox tells me there's a "Curse script" that is unresponsive. I can either stop it or let it go on. In my experience, if I stop it the page doesn't load properly. If I let it go on, it goes slow like I said before. Any suggestions?
Why is this site so slow??? Seriously everything loads slower than any other website I've ever used in my entire life.
It's on your end. I've never had issues with this site.
It is working fine, it is just slow as hell.
Site is loading just fine when I am on pc, but yea, from my phone (pretty good phone) it is pretty damn slow.

Same problem with Internet Explorer on Nokia Lumia 925...
Hope it will improve (considering Fluxflashor's comment).

I also experience extreme slowdown on this website via PC. It's actually faster on my Galaxy S6.
