just wondering in reveal season we have 3 places where discussion of new cards can happen. The reveal post, the Card discussion forum via the 'discuss this card' link and then the discussion on the Card's database entry.
Maybe it is me being OCD but it would be nice if the Card reveal discussion was more focused on the reveal itself I.e. the reveal video, the revealer etc and then all discussion of the card was then focused on the card database rather than in the card discussion forum. It seems the card discussion forum is redundant. There are even two places where there is a card poll.
Article Comments - Short lived, not easily found, usually not very high quality due to the low amount of effort to find the comment box (other methods require clicking through to another page)
Card DB Comments - Usually a bit more on the fun side (looking at you Shadows), don't usually include very useful discussion. I've seen better discussion within some articles.
Forum Thread - A proper place for discussion. Also makes the forums more lively which is a huge positive. In my experience people participating in forum threads usually want to actually discuss the card at hand and not leave a simple comment and move on. There is also the benefit you can't be downvoted, so having an unpopular opinion about a card will never be hidden.
Ultimately, I really only see us as having two places for discussion on a card and that is the DB and Forums. They both end up targeting slightly different types of replies so having them separate is nice. No plans to ever disallow article comments on card reveals. Like I said it's a lower barrier to entry for people which not only brings forth more low quality discussion but also it does get people involved that may not do so otherwise.
Re: Poll - The card poll shown in threads is the exact same one shown on the card database. If you vote on one, you have voted on both (even if it doesn't immediately show up).

So I'll explain this one.
