Well, i got what the original idea was, or at least i think i did, but this is internet man. Ppl will find a way to game the system and someone with a lot of "super-likes" might not be a reliable person at all, just a popular one or one that got the likes somehow. Also im not sure we rly need this special categorization, id say Post Count is about as reliable parametr as "super-likes", person with higher post count has been around for a while obviously and will be more likely competent to provide decent advice, but same goes for this: person with high post count can just be a spammer with limited game experience and his advice might just be pretty much useless, so that is definitely not a guarantee of a quality user either.
Im not saying dont come up with ideas to improve this forum, im just sayin this particular one seems like it will not bring anything but ego-boosting for ppl receiving the "super-likes", which i think we can agree is not a very good argument to implement that and like i said before, devs time should be spent on more important matters.
Well i don't think that anyone would go through the trouble of having double or triple accounts in order to upvote himself and that's the only way i can think of exploiting the system. Even if anyone does it, i guess it should be easy to find and ban him, I would also argue that the popular hearthpwners would (usually) be the most helpful.
Anyway i understand what you are trying to convey but i disagree with you and i think this would be a useful add on.

I'm a bit late to the conversation, but ohhh I wish people knew more about what we see sometimes. Although everyone ends up being caught when things are being abused on the site, vote manipulation is one of the most common violations we have. People just refuse to stop making tons of accounts to try and promote themselves. With something like a "super like", I can only imagine this getting worse. People already care a great deal about the site achievements so that they can have a larger score, so having something else that is seemingly limitless would definitely end up being abused.
I think the idea of being able to show more appreciation for someone's contributions to the community, whether that be an awesome deck, a hilarious comment, or something else equally cool would be a great idea, but I think the best thing that you can do is leave the person a nice comment instead. Numbers on a screen aren't very personal and although they're awesome at giving you a general idea that people like what you've done, they are never a substitute for a friendly message!
I can definitely speak from experience on this one :D

yeah, this. people would violate it.
there are guys who use discord to get their decks on front page. I actually know someone that does it regularly and gets away with it.. I like the guy though so really don't want to report them.
At the same time it would be nice to have a fair chance at the front page.

I'd love to know about it - please send me a private message. We've banned people or removed votes in the past when we come across stuff like this. We're not okay with external manipulation on the site. It does depend on how they go about it though. If people are simply linking a deck it's not a big deal. If they are specifically instructing others to go and upvote the deck, we've likely got a problem.
Then we'd get peoples true opinions as they wouldn't be worried about their decks taking a face dive whenever they annoyed someone :D
Then how would I know how I was doing in the weekly card design competition?
Seriously though back to the topic, if you like a certain person for the comments they make, couldn't you just follow them? I know some people won't just make one great comment and that's it, they will usually make good comments fairly often. So if you know who those people are you could just follow them and like the comments you think are great.

Ok, maybe it's not the best idea out there to implement, but at least we tried. ;) Thanks jainaishot for your great support as always :) and thanks Fluxflashor for your time and polite reply explaining the situation correctly, I really appreciate it. :)
Ok, now seriously guys, really, it doesn't hurt my feelings if people laugh at my ideas or think they are complete shit. I'm just joking and playing with you. In fact, even if the entire world would think that I'm the most stupid person ever, I wouldn't even give a shit, hehehehe :D. Nothing people have said on this forum in three years has really harmed me, nothing, and it is sad. I would love if someone here finds my weak spot, but I really doubt it, LOL.
But even then, it would be cool if some of you would learn to post in a much constructive way from time to time and be more gentle, not for me, but for respect towards great users like jainaishot and the moderators. This is a wonderful forum for people all around the world, so more respect from time to time towards others from some users would be really welcome. :) :) :)

Oh...I better delete Sherman1986 and Morkimus then XD
On serious note, i would have never thought this is even an issue. I knew that moderators' duties were unpleasant, but i am surprized they are this bad,Honestly i feel bad now for the extra work i have given you guys in the past and for the work i will give you in the future.:P
Anyway, i thank you aswell for your time and comment Fluxflashor :)

I'd prefer the like/dislike feature was scrapped.

Yeah, don't worry, we'll never get rid of any of the voting on the site. This kills the site.
