So, EA announced a hearthstone competitor at E3 this year (as did Bethesda with Elder Scrolls Legends), which is slated to release this year. With only 4 months left until the end of the year, I'm thinking we're going to get lots more info and some gameplay footage this Wednesday at EA's Gamescom press briefing.
We don't know much about the game yet, but star wars is one of the few brands which has any hope of reaching the same mainstream audience as Hearthstone. Do you think EA have what it takes to pull off a card game similar to Hearthstone?
Games developed by reaction are always going to be 2nd-rate. Hearthstone has already cemented the genre in the same way Heroes of the Storm won't even come close to the revenue of DotA and LoL.

Not that I disagree but sometimes it's nice to have a B-tier alternative as a side game in periods just before a new expansion releases or the meta gets stale.
