Dunno guys but mtga even with its terrible vault system seems much much more generous to me. I was able to create a super expensive grixis deck in just 2 weeks and i have bought only the welcome offer. In fact the only reason i am no spending more is the 5th card problem as even with only 1 month in i have nearly all uncommons and commons x4. To me mtga is superior in hs in every way and i had never played magic before.I even started because my brudah sherman nagged me to do it.
I like mtg:a as a side-game where I don't care if I miss dailies...but I don't understand what am I gonna do with duplicates of cards over 4 max? I can't get anything for them, but I can still open them in packs, that seems horrible tbh :/
I am a low rank, bronze tier, usually win one, lose one, but I do have fun - trying to go for a better version of the mono-green deck with big creatures and ramp, after I get a few more important cards I think I'll build some angel deck, they look cool.
I like the draft mode, but I probably build worse decks because I take the card that's rarer more often than not :D
I really like MTGA, especially the draft mode, but I don't think I will play it much longer as the economy is just terrible if what you want to do is building some tier 1 decks. The vault system has the worst ratio of getting new cards for unusable copies I've ever seen in a card game (HS has a dust exchange ratio of 1:4 and it's a standard one in TCGs - MTGA has like 1:30...). Unfortunately it doesn't seem like fixing the economy is on the devs priority list, even though there are tons of people who refuse to spend their money, mostly because opening a 5th copy of a rare/mythic card is equivalent to getting nothing from a pack.
There is no crafting system so be prepared to drop some dough on the better cards if you want them. This means it feels much more pay to win.
There IS a crafting system (Wildcards). You just can't 'dust' cards. But considering how some cards that don't see play now may see a lot of play in a month after an expansion, you may also view this as saving players from themselves, so they don't have to recraft everything again.
Open a 5th copy of a Mythic (you can only have 4 copies of each card in your collection)? Too bad, you get almost zero value from it: roughly 1/90th of its value. In HS, dusting a legendary gives 1/4th of its value...
Yeah, that's true but they intend to make a duplicate protection in Q1 2019. I'd say they should've launched with one to begin with. But at least they acknowledge that there is a problem.
The new player experience is going to be very rough in MTGA, even for seasoned players because of how stingy the economy is. Be prepared to grind for weeks just to be able to complete a Tier 1 deck. Unless you drop $150 to $200 in cash you will be bottlenecked by rare wild cards, most of which you will spend just to get the equivalent of mana crystals in Hearthstone.
There are very powerful mono-color Red, Blue and Green decks that you can make almost for free, which use only few powerful rares and only basic free lands (mana crystals). If you want to make a wonky 3-color deck, premium double-color lands are a must, sure, but even 2-color decks can be played well with the basic free dual-color lands, if you know what you are doing. Checkland/shocklands will make the deck a bit better but they are not mandatory.
I'd even say that spending your Wildcards on lands is a newbie trap because it will make your mana curve slightly better but you won't have actual powerful cards to spend your mana on.

You can't stop the signal.
