Hey Guys, with all the soon new released cards, most of us are thinking (or atleast hoping) that the meta will slow down.
Heres my question for you - Do you think it will be viable to play 2 Big Game Hunter in certain decks to have the right answers to for all the threads your opponent will throw at you? Or is one Big Game Hunter still enough to handle this?
Feel free to leave some theorycrafting comments :)
I think it will be still enough. Well if many Control warriors and druids are in meta, than maybe 2 BGH will be viable, but still I think aggro decks will be dominant.
Another interesting question is: does Big Game Hunter need a nerf?
The reason is that it become an auto-include and can cause huge tempo swings without a serious downside (if it has no targets, 3 mana for a 4/2 is not a big waste). Imo Blizzard should apply their usual nerf, raising the mana cost to 4 would make it more balanced while keeping it still viable...

interesting question, but there are still some decks not using him ( the really hard aggro decks) - so according to blizzards statement about Dr. Boom ("no there are still decks not playing him" )i dont think they will nerf Big game Hunter
and the 2 Health is a major downside - the only other creatures for 3 mana with this stats are Arcane Golem and Jungle Panther (charge and Stealth) who usually will have atleast either an attack to face or the viability to trade - while BGH only got his battlecry to get something back for this health loss
PS: i dont forgot the Magma Rager, but since hes on everyones "worst 10 cards ever made" list i dont think i have say something about him
One is probably still enough. Though there is a competetive warlock deck that runs 2xBig Game Hunter already. But that deck also run 2xAbusive Sergeant so it could easily use BGHs vs 5 damage creatures.
For the decks I need more removal in, only one [deck]Big Game Hunter[/deck] is required. In Control Warrior I don't use him as I find Shield Slam and Execute cover all my needs in most situations. After the cards come out I may put Big Game Hunter back in my Control Warrior deck if the meta slows down significantly(which I sadly doubt).
I tend to think we will go from the current Aggro meta to a more midrange oriented meta which I like better. Wish it was going to be a Control Meta(as those are my favorite matches) and so I really doubt that a lot of the big cards will even see play, I am sad to say.
Why would anyone hope for meta to slow down? Do you want long boring matches that take forever to finish and laddering would be that much more annoying?!

Even 1 is not mandatory, let alone 2.
this is probably a very good analysis

It would be really cool to see somethin like the opposite of a BGH being released
Like Mini Game Hunter (and i know Kodo already exists - but only kill a random minion)

I'm sort of hoping that with my new, expensive, OP minions that are arriving tomorrow that I will still only need 1 BGH.
The Black Knight will come back for sure yeah

One only, never 2. Getting 2 stuck in your hand is awkward.
I would play Sylvanas Windrunner and The Black Knight before playing a second Big Game Hunter.
