ugh i was gona buy tickets for online watch, friends that go keep telling it its awesome!
It's pretty great, but it's very crowded and, if you're far away it is very expensive. It can be cost prohibitive to people out of the country, so those people shouldn't feel bad opting to watch it online or just read the news blogs on it.
If you're a fan of Blizzard games, I think everyone should try to make it out at least once if they can afford it. It's great to try the games and interact with the community and get the panels in person. I look forward to it every year.
Watch it online, the hall stinks of 20000 teen angst bedrooms, its a hideous smell. Virtual ticket is pro especially combined with a hotel room in Amsterdam , happy viewing !!
I will have to watch Blizzcon live again this year. I was unable to get in a decent position to get a ticket... I wonder what's the trick for people who keeps going years after years...
It would be odd if they didn't announce a small number of EU closed beta's today at Gamescom, mostly because if they wait weeks and weeks the hype from the US streamers will have died down quite a lot, and when would you rather announce something - to a room full of journalists working for gaming websites/when attention on your game is huge because of people like Reck, Kripp, Towel all streaming - or some random Thursday in 2 weeks time?
I probably won't be going this year, but I'll make it to a BlizzCon some day. However I'm just going to put this out there, it'd be pretty sweet if somebody cosplayed as the Sen'jin Shieldmasta and just ran around shouting "Taz'Dingo!"
this is me and my wife's 3rd blizzcon its always alot of fun. I dont forsee alot of Hearthstone announcements since the game is basiclly done. mabye a release date and a date for the ipad/tablet version but thats prolly about it. Im still wondering who the music guest will be for this year!

I wish I could've gone, but I couldn't get the time off work. Guess I'm stuck to watching it online.

Too far away for me to be there in person, but I'll get the Live stream as always, hope they include some Hearthstone item in the virutal good bag ;)
Since when is there a virtual good bag? You mean the pet they usually give?
Pet and achievements yes, any kind of token basically. Perhaps a murloc card with no specific usage? I would at least consider it a nice token.
Hum you are right that they usually include something for every game they have. Let's hope it's not only a portrait for B.Net...
that would be the best thing imo. maybe a beta for Ipad or android devices.

Apparently they have a panel dealing with the long delayed Warcraft movie this year. Can't believe they are finally getting that off the ground
