There are only about 100 days until the BIG EVENT on November 8th-9th. I wanted to start a thread for all those in the Hearthpwn community who will be attending Blizzcon 2013.
NOW I WANT EVERYONE WHO IS PLANNING ON GOING TO BLIZZCON TO SAY YAYEAH! (REPLY TO THIS THREAD AT LEAST) ... aside from that, we can use this thread for the following purposes:
ARRANGING MEET UPS! (I WILL BE LOOKING TO MEET AS MANY HEARTHSTONE FANS AS POSSIBLE)
SPEAKING ABOUT WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE DURING THE CON (HEARTHSTONE RELATED)
PROVIDING BLIZZCON SURVIVAL ADVICE FROM EXPERIENCED ATTENDEES
I will be updating this Original Post, with all and any useful information that you, the community, post in response.

PS: I will also be posting any interesting Hearthstone@Blizzcon related news as it becomes available, including information on Official gatherings (if any).
I have a ticket and am planning on going, though the situation might change...still lookin for the tree that sprouts money.
I'm assuming the game will already be out by then (or at least very close) so I'd love to see some news regarding a Death Knight or Monk expansion. It could add new versions of existing cards (1st and 2nd edition) some new cards, and the new class obviously. I would also love to see 2v2 added, or a 4 player free-4-all (for funsies).
I couldn't get a ticket to physically go to blizzcon, but I will be purchasing the Virtual ticket to see all the cool stuff. Hopefully the Virtual goodie-bag will have HS goodies.
I want to see how they plan on bringing out new card series.
Considering it's F2P it's really unlikely they'd go down any kind of xpac route to update the game with an extra class or something. If new cards are added, are Blizzard going to try and make the maximum cash off them or just add them to standard card packs?
I don't think we will see anything about any kinda of expansion content at Blizzcon. I don't think that new content is something the devs want to prioritize right away, and that would be smart.
2v2 and 4v4 would be awesome down the line, but again... I don't think we will be seeing those more advanced gameplay modes until much later, after launch.
I am sure that there will be some kind of virtual goodies. The developers expressed huge interest in promoting Hearthstone to WoW fans, and what better way to accomplish this than Hearthstone related promo goodies in Blizzcon goodie bags.
I really can't imagine a more perfect moment to reveal the the release date for Hearthstone considering they intended it to be released this year. Unless their schedule falls apart and we get a "released soon™" announcement...
Negativity aside. While I have no intention of going to blizzcon, the virtual ticket might be interesting to look into.
EDIT: An announcement that I can possibly expect is for a collectors edition of the game, with posters, included booster and such.
Good points. I imagine they'll have some sort of virtual goody along the lines of the WoW pet/SC2 Avatar. Perhaps alternate hero portraits, or maybe even a special card, like Murky.
I'd wager they give away a card pack to attendees and virtual ticket holders. There is no better way to try and get them to come and play than to say "Here is a pack of cards...you know you want to know whats inside...but you won't know until you download our free game!"
Of course I'm still assuming the game will be out by then. Maybe they'll just announce some cool like a collector's edition (which Erskow mentioned above)
If they go all out integrating it (such as WoW achievement rewards grant HS packs or something) I might even resub to WoW! I can also imagine battle.net achievements for HS. If they do it then I can see these giving in-game pets for WoW or cosmetic things for SC2/D3. Using HS to rebuff dramatically falling WoW sub numbers is a smart move.
In terms of more fun things I'm with Xdega. 2v2s would be so much fun.
While I can see Hearthstone granting rewards in World of Warcraft, doing the reverse way have a risk of turning it into a "pay for advantage" effect.
I can see that there is a quest like "Oh, you never heard about this game? Here is 3 booster packs to use in it. It's also free to play!" to promote HS in WoW. However, granting a constaint flow for extra boosters, especially if they go over the cap*, could be a risky move. Even if the booster flow is "low" enough, the community might backlash on the idea and scream "p2win game".
*(I believe there was a hint of such a thing when booster packs where the HS currency. Might not be true now when gold is used.)

This sir is so full of truth. For the sake of just ONE(1) "free" booster pack to Blizzcon attendees, they could scores THOUSANDS of extra players.
I wasn't able to score tickets this time so I'll be watching the stream with the Virtual Ticket. That free pack sounds like a good idea. I wonder if they'd give them to Virtual Ticket holders too. Makes sense that they would. They get the same Wow pets, Starcraft decals, and D3 banners so adding a free card pack sounds good.
I want to go but didnt get a ticket. If anyone needs to sell theirs or their friends that cant make it we can meet up day of the even and you can switch the name on the badge. PM me!
Can't wait! me and my (wife by that time!) will be there
Not sure how much hearthstone annoucments we will get though tbh (maybe a release date?) But I cant see anything else
I am hoping that we at least have some awesome Hearthstone gatherings. It's gonna be a hearthstone PARTAY! Aside from that, I am sure we can get some small community live tournaments going.
I'll be there. Aside from the original one in '05, I haven't missed a Blizzcon yet.
I'm not sure how much Hearthstone stuff will be there since I'd think by then the game would have been in beta long enough (or hell close to release) that there aren't many big spoilers remaining. But if nothing else, we'll have the opportunity to play it on the demo machines. They'll probably have a panel or two also, even if it isn't main stage. Maybe art or general game design.
In future Blizzcon there will probably be tournaments which is something for sure to look forward to, but this year is probably too early for anything like that.
One of these years I'll go. Alas, it was not to be this year. :( I hope we see lots of Hearthstone stuff going on though. If they offer the stream this year again, I'll definitely be watching that as work permits.

Some great ideas guys!

They've already begun tempting WoW players into HS with WoW in-game rewards: http://www.wowhead.com/item=98618

True, but I thought you can already buy packs anyway?
This way at least you could get them by putting work into other Blizzard games which you may or may not have already paid for.

I'll be going, and be willing to partner up / help arrange something before then. Still have enough time to do so!
