Never heard this guy and dont really care about him, it just that it pisses me off this touchy, over sensitive world has to drag other peoples shit in other stuff they do... Unless he is going to jail then they shouldnt stop him from doing anything else on the side...its not their job or ours to judge him however much wrong he may do... Its the job for those who apply the law/justice not for fucking blizz to sanction their employee(or player didnt really understand what he is to them) but it does not matter.
Shitty world we live in is just unbelievable for every little shit you do others that have no buisness in your shit need to fucking judge, denigrate, apply their own law, cancel, discriminate against that person and every of the above suddenly becomes ok because that person did smtg bad...
Stop beeing a bunch of pansies, grow some balls and preach this shit to others, otherwise we will all live in a world worse than fucking comunism....
first of all, i dont like zalea, so i could be biased. these alligations are horrible, but it's one-sided and not proven yet. its a shame zalea carreer could be finished, but blizzard has every right to suspend him. blizzard is protecting her brand and doesn't want to be assosiated with domastic violence.
but these alligations are not out of character, when i watch zalea clips on youtube, or his streams on twitch, i always get the feeling he is a bully. And I hate the push-ups for memberships or donations, it feels totaly out of place and a bit toxic to me. He often comes across as aggressive or arrogant. But we will see if the alligantions are thru or not
i think, guilty or not zalea's carreer is over, but there are enough twitch streamers in the sea
I also hate this public laundry washing.. like complaining publicly to the community, that I am not getting enough oral sex? Where are we?
This kind of stuff you should on the first place work out together, maybe you can confide to a friend / therapist if you are seeing one, but no, you have to make articles on it, make youtuibe videos etc.. crazy world man..
Whoever said Zalae can sue blizzard if he's "proven innocent" (which btw never happens in court) is wrong. There is no cause of action unless Blizzard is dumb enough to make defamatory statements regarding why they suspended him, and they aren't that dumb.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
I think Blizz should wait until any allegations are proven before taking action.
Presumption of innocence exists for a reason. And while they are a private company and they can do whatever they want to manage their PR, they should also understand that a lot of people are, justifiably, going to get mad when this happens, because their PR is more important to them than their moral imperative.
And TBH good morals are better PR in the long run than this crap.
This goes beyond moral imperative I believe—this game has a sizable community that most would describe as toxic. Imagine how humiliating it would be for Zalae to have to play a high stakes game and have people in chat saying “Zalae beats his GF kek,” imagine if he went all the way and won and how much of the discussion around the tournament would center on the allegations. and that’s all they are, they aren’t proven, Blizzard is calling them allegations, they aren’t saying we stand with Rini. Further, I would add that they are giving him a suspension. This implies it is temporary. If it should come back that Zalae wasn’t at fault they would likely welcome him back. I think everyone is making a bigger deal of this than it should be. Violence is wrong, but this is someone’s personal life, we don’t know all the circumstances, and if I represented Zalae I would have advised him not to make a statement on any of this. The result of that might mean that hers is the only account for the public to consider, but that might be better for him down the road.
I'm not understanding the position businesses are taking of terminating employees based on unproven allegations.
Or in this case, kicking a player from the tournament based on unproven allegations.
If he did it, blacklist him from all HS events for life.
Right now we have an allegation. It should be taken seriously, it should be investigated, and the truth should be determined. Hearthstone chose to jump ahead of that and go straight to the punishment phase based on just the allegation.
Think about this for a moment, and personalize it. You've worked hard at something your entire professional career. Now, you are about to get your big shot. An ex girlfriend/boyfriend, ex wife/husband, whatever, suddenly comes out with an allegation of wrongdoing on your part. You are then, with no proof and no chance to defend yourself, completely shut out from the job/career/opportunity that you have pursued for so long and dedicated yourself to. Does that sound fair? Does that sound right?
To me, it absolutely does not.
Give the man his day in court. If he is found guilty, bar him from all events. Strip him of titles if needed. Do not condemn him based on allegations, though. I'm disappointed in Blizzard, and society at large, as we are seeing more and more of these types of things happening.
Yes it’s common for business to suspend people who have not been proven to do a crime. Even beyond businesses, it happens with cops and teachers who are accused of wrongdoing, which are government positions.
I think it’s rather easy to understand actually. Sure it could seem unfair for the accused, but if that person is actually guilty, it would be very bad for the reputation of the organization because it is as if they were supporting a criminal. Organizations would rather take the safe approach, since in most cases, there is more backlash from NOT suspending the accused than there is from suspending them.
There are some exceptions to this case, if the accused is in an iconic or very popular position for example, such as with Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp was accused of domestic abuse, when it is likely he was actually the victim, but Disney suspended him regardless and faced MAJOR backlash because people couldn’t imagine pirates of the Caribbean without him. Hearthstone on the other hand is well fit to survive without Zalae so it not nearly as impactful losing him as it would be if they supported a domestic abuser.
"other companies do it so..."
Employing someone in spite of ALLEGATIONS made against them is not support of the behaviour being alleged (even if reactionaries and online mobs tell you otherwise). Blizzard made the cowards choice. It may be their right to, but we have a right to disagree with it.
It's a typical american company that has no eggs, always ready to cowardly bend under anything that can cause any negative consequences for them.
who cares about the entire situation cuz no one cares and it doesn't affect your life it doesn't affect your family and friends so u just basically move on nothing to see here it's just that simple

I've often wished there was some way to basically require someone to press charges before they could make public accusations like that. There's no way that would work while still respecting freedom of speech, and in the end it would cause way more trouble than it would avoid, but still . . . watching people use the "court" of public opinion in lieu of actually using the courts because they know the Keemas of the world will be perfectly fine with societal punishment before any finding of fact.
The slander laws have a ridiculous requirement that says a slanderer must not only make false and damaging statements, but have reason to specifically know these statements are false. Assuming these allegations are false, not only is it nearly impossible to prove since many of these actions would have happened (or not) in total privacy, it is also impossible to recover from any 3rd parties who call Zalae an abuser or woman-beater in the future, since those third parties would have legal cover by saying they were just quoting the accusations.
The whole process of proving slander and libel needs to be revisited.

If you're narrow-minded enough to think that one accusation has no effect or relevance to future accusations, sure. Having faced a similar situation myself, I respectfully disagree that this isn't relevant to others.

I would have personally record it, its not that hard with todays technology (cell phones, webcam, hidden cams etc..) I mean they are streamers after all :D Then she could press charges easily and didnt have to cry publicly seeking community's and Blizzards help.
Well yeah, if the allegations are true, proving something DID happen is a lot easier than proving it DIDN'T happen. If she comes forward with any evidence beyond her word, this whole story starts changing rapidly.

It doesn't matter if Zalae is innocent or not, it is pretty clear that there is a clear side that society will take and so will Blizzard.
Maybe it is sad that people don't care about bringing justice rather want to paint one party as guilty and be done with the case. There is certainly a way to not dismiss/blame the victim while also not treating the accused as guilty without any 3rd party evidence, but that requires nuance, which is clearly lacking in many people (including myself).
Personally, on my impression of Zalae, he appears to be one of the biggest douches in the HS community and I don't think he is completely innocent. But I also believe that Blizzard, based on how they have handled previous allegations in the WoW community, has done NO investigation at all instead, they realised today that they have an accused player on the GM roaster and decided to take the safest way out.
I also hate this public laundry washing.. like complaining publicly to the community, that I am not getting enough oral sex? Where are we?

I could not agree more. Who the hell brings up these topics publicly after breakup? Makes the whole story totally untrustworthy and childish in my eyes. It does not even relate to the "abuse" allegations.

Hey, ostrich, get your head out of the sand. There's a big world around you with lots of things happening, and guess what...... you may not care about it, but it certainly cares about you. Specifically, what it can take from you. If you refuse to speak up on things because they don't affect you, then don't be surprised when no one speaks up for you when something inevitably does happen to you. None of us can afford to live with this naive outlook.
I honestly think blizzard did the right thing for once!the allegations are pretty serious why would you want someone like that still in the tournament?
Unproven allegations that will result in the end of a player's career and permanent damage to their reputation. Even if he is never convicted of any wrongdoing, Zalae's carreer and public image will never recover from this.
Frankly speaking, nothing wrong with Blizzard move.
Corporations all over the world, have been hiring idols, singers or actors to represent their brand for advertisements etc. So long as these models get into any scandal or lawsuit that may damage their brand, it doesn't matter whether the lawsuit is still ongoing or the scandal is proven true or not, they get sacked and sued for damages instead.
Which corporation will want to keep an accused abuser as their representive? Imagine McDonald's having an abuser selling their burgers. Will they spend money to shoot a new advertisement or leave it as it is while people boycott their burgers.
