Hello people! I swapped my 1 Dimm 8GB 2666mHz RAM a couple of days ago with 16GB of 3200mHz (2x8). Ever since then every game i've played is more amazing than it ever looked on my pc. No lags, no framedrops. But hearthstone, which is the main game I have been launching every single day for the past 5-6 years, drops its frames to oblivion. We're talking 10-30 frames and the pointer (the little hand that is your mouse ingame) constantly flickers. I tried disabling the X.M.P. and it fixed the issue for couple of games but then it started all over again. I don't know what else to do, but it does not seem like an installation problem. Also my system is definitely qualified to run the game (Ryzen 7 2700X, 1070Ti). Is it an optimization problem? Please help if you can suggest anything. Thanks in advance!!
I havent played HS with the new update yet, but this looks like a hardware/driver? problem to me. Maybe try to do some benchmarks/hardware tests and see how it goes.
You can also play with the HS resolution, try windowed mode too
Have you tried installing the old stick of ram to see if it sorts the problem out so then you can rule out it being a game issue? You definitely have it the ram installed in dual channel mode? But guessing that other games run fine you must have. Can hearthstone utilise 16gb of ram, can remember a while back being really over spec on some games would fuck up.

No idea, but you can set the fps at fixed rate. You have to add framerate to options file in the hearthstone folder of AppData folder.
Ex: C:\Users\MyComp\AppData\Local\Blizzard\Hearthstone
File: option.txt
Open it.
Add:
targetframerate=90
vsync=0
at the bottom.
Save and relaunch Hearthstone.
How can I fix high FPS drops while gaming on Windows 10?
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Bruce
