I hope you are off to a great 2020 and have an amazing year.
I create this thread to bring to your attention a recent twitter post by Kibler where he shares about his recent struggles with depression.
Kibler is one of the most positive streamers I've seen and I always enjoy watching him play. Yet, beneath the sunny exterior, apparently there has been an going issue with his mental health.
It's a really courageous post that he wrote and I encourage everyone to read it.
I nearly lost a friend a few years ago after his own battles with depression and alcoholism. If you are struggling yourself, please know that there are resources out there and people who can help you.
As some people are not aware, I'd also like to add some stuff:
1 - Depression is NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS! It is a psychiatric disease that has internal predisposition an is commonly triggered by environmental factors like bullying, parental abuse and social (media) pressure.
2 - it is frequently associated to addictions like alcohol, gambling and video games
3 - Minor signs shouldn't be ignored by close relatives/friends. As soon as it is spotted, it is strongly advised to seek medical attention, since most people affected by this disease won't get better just by friendly emotes and kind words. It is lethal!! Also, remember that denial is really common. Don't be negligent to a depressed person.
I got a personal response from Kibler to a throwaway negative comment I made on reddit about him once, and it was quite lengthy. At the time I appreciated it, but looking back it was weird - the guy seemed to need my approval, validation from some guy he's never met on reddit, who made a grumpy post as he was in a bad mood at the time - it was just strange.
I'm not surprised to discover he suffers mental health issues. I should have said to him there that you shouldn't care what I think or say. You don't owe me shit or have to prove anything. Anyone suffering depression - you are probably worrying too much about stuff that just doesn't matter - take it easy.

I'm legit dying to know the rest of this story, if you would like to share. What you said, what he said, was there any more back and forth after that, etc.
I like Kibler. I hate that he's going through the issues with his relationship and his mental health that he is.
Wow. This is refreshing. Thanks for posting, and sorry you have those demons Kibler (if you read this). My wife suffers immensely with depression and a neurological disorder that affects head, body, muscles, aches and pains daily.....it’s terrible. She’s been to many doctors and a couple neurologists and there’s nothing they can seem to do. This increases the depression because she feels hopeless; that she’ll have to live this way the rest of her life. It’s Brutal! .....for her, but also for me as I have to keep the home life rolling and raise our two girls, basically, alone 75% of the time.
Praying for everyone out there who in suffering with these earthly challenges.
In some of his recent YouTube vids, he's really not his usual perky self. I thought maybe he was just sick and tired of the meta, which would be understandable, but this sheds a whole different light on it.
I've had my episodes in the past, about a few months ago especially. Luckily I managed to slowly snap out of it, not completely though.
If you feel like you can't cope with it/live with it, seek professional help IMMEDIATELY. I don't mean internet friends or forums. A real life therapist, as many sessions as it takes. A lot of people who did are reporting positive results.
Most importantly, know that there is always help. Stay safe <3
Given Kibler's words about his own struggles with alcohol dependency, I'm gonna say it might be for the best. Sometimes two nice, well-meaning people can be bad influences on each other.

Yep, no way bring up something as immaterial as mental health could in any way benifit some random streamer in anyway :D
Epic post my friend, keep me up to date on other ways I can support online panhandlers looking to bank in on whatever they can :DDDD
Lucky I don't at all have to worry about streamers posting sob stories about how they don't make enough and how their life is an unending vortex of darkness and blackness everytime you tune in and can support those who matter :DD. Anyways please use your twitch prime to sub to me, every sub gets an epic dab and a random text to speech no one cares about.
I legit just got blocked by Kibler on Facebook for not agreeing with his stance on the BLM and Capitol riots. Funny that this thread gets revived just now.

A great thread and a topic I wholly support.
However I'm afraid I have to move this to the off-topic forum, as it is not really about Hearthstone.

imagine losing such girl
OMG, poor Brian... :( I wish him the best of the best, I really like his persona. :)
All I can do right now is to send him a bit of my energy...
