It seems like that no one posts in anything but general discussion, and even then the newer posts barely have many comments unless its something controversial or a rant post. Some new threads I made a few days ago have no comments at all.
No, only that there are less interesting threads or there is really no way to discuss it because the answers are very obvious just by reading the title.
honestly it was because salt thread did more damage than it helped, there are people that are obviously salty in their posts so it's impossible to start a debate with them, but even threads that are politely worded and open for discussion get "directed" to the salt thread, so not many people care to post anymore, that's why i didnt move to OOC as soon as i saw a salt thread there it was obvious what will become of the site in a couple of years "Lol Op is Salty this thread belongs in (Insert salt thread link)"
Edit: i guess that if anyone here is a sociologist or studying sociology he might make one of his papers on human behavioural patterns by making a parallel of both the sites that have Salt threads".
Most of the core community moved to OOC when the admins changed. A number of people stayed on HP because they didn't like how OOC looked, but I suspect the majority of people stayed simply did so because they don't use the forums enough to even know what was happening between the two sites at all. Generally speaking, people who don't use forums often are more likely to lack forums etiquette and thus make shitposts and other less than constructive posts more often
It might also be a matter of passion. People who are passionate and positive about the game are more likely to make constructive and positive posts. Sharing good posts and posting often makes you more likely to bond with the community. If you just make shitposts and salt posts, the community will react negatively, you will get a negative experience and you obviously won't bond with the people shaming you (you might even hate them). Anyway, people who were passionate about the community and the admins who held it together were more likely to migrate to OOC
forums ain't dead just brain dead forum topics beaten to death like
HOW DID YOUR OPEN PACKS GO?
HOW much money i saved for next expansion?
WHAT"S THE PICK?
This game is dead ? here's my pin head excuse from a narrow vacuum
And other insert constant stereotypical trash that has no value for you to even bat a eye or click bait so no the forums aren't dead just no one answers austismo topics

I don't get how this is anything other than opinion based but best of luck to OOC and the people there. The community here at HP is unrivaled and that hasn't changed far as I'm concerned.

This is why I try to keep discussions (even negative ones) going if possible. The only time it will legitimately get redirected to the Salt-Fest is if there is obviosuly no room for a discussion and the OP is just venting anger, etc.
Having a negative opinion (or an unpopular one) or being upset about something that happened and wanting to talk about it, isn't Salt-Thread-Fodder (in my opinion), so I will always try and give a thread the benefit of the doubt first. :-)
Out of Cards is a terrible forum. If you are not positive about most stuff there (usually very silly topics), don't share the most popular opinion, or wanna make some not trully offensive jokes from time to time just for fun, get ready to be called a troll not only by the users, but also by the moderators and stuff members in public (yeah, it happened to me ;)).
Hearthpwn is handling the conflict between Blizzard and the Hearthstone pro player bliztchung with great professionalism. Instead, people from Out of Cards still insist in making fun of China's president...
"Hey, people, look!!! Xi Jinping looks like Winnie the Pooh!!! Hahahaha, oh my god, we can't miss the oportunity to make fun of him in our awesome foum!!! Let's put a picture of this famous Disney's bear automatically at the bottom of each thread. Yeah, we are so f...king clever and funny!!! We are awesome!!!
Sigh... -.-
Hearthpwn is not dead, just give it a little more time until it fully recovers. ;)

Has everyone just moved on?
No. Not everyone has moved on.
If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
Don't like the layout of the OOC. Hearthpwn is terrible for load times but its like a comfy worn down chair you can't be arsed getting up from

the game dies so the forums just go along
Game ain't dead. Doing better than ever

I'm not convinced the problematic ones are salt threader's
And with that; This should have been posted in the salt thread :p

No it does not, stop lying and shilling for Blizzard.
I've tried OOC but I just like Hearthpwn more, so staying here.
What did I post that indicated I was mad at the game?
I only posted this because it seems like the forums are a shell of what they used to be, I'm not talking about the game at all.
This is why it’s dead

Here is my impression of the average OOC thread: "my kitty got new bootsies today! also a really basic question about game"
This site can be repetitively snippy but I'll take that over the candyass posts from that site anyday...
