I just finished watching the episode and it turns out those Reddit leaks were true after all... It was so bland and predictable that I don't even manage to rant about it... I'm just sad that such a great series didn't get a final episode to be remembered and above all that it didn't get the final season it deserved, because this could've been the best season of the show by far and instead we got this rushed down thing no one will ever want to rewatch and that spoils all the good things that have been done in the previous seasons...
In an attempt to forget this crappy episode and season I'll leave here what I think was the best scene in the whole series...
I am going to go HAM on the first motherfucker who comes in here and says:
"aT lEaSt Me GoTs My Petz on GhOSt"
That fucking shot . . . the fucking shot at the end where Jon pets ghost was a relighted shot from Season 4.
It's like, "we can't be fucked to realize that Jon leaving his wolf behind without so much as an ear scratch is ridiculously offensive to anyone who has spent ten minutes watching this show, but when the internet calls us on it, we take the 'piss on them and tell them it's raining' approach".
GOD DAMN IT, I had resolved that everything that was spoiled in the freefolk subreddit was true, and that I could let this die with the silent fart of significance it deserved. But that last little insult really has me up in arms.
I will never throw a single dollar to anything these fucking writers do again. So help me God, I don't care if it's Star Wars.
Un-fucking-believable
They added 4 min to the last episode yesterday. It was a hot topic at freefolk subreddit. Guess that was for ghost part.
The part about Jon and Dany felt sad but it feels more like GRRM than the rest. We have to keep in mind that he only gave key points to the producers/writers and they took it from there. The reservations I have here are more from a pacing point of view, since I still don't buy Dany going child murdering crazy within 2 Episodes. I don't know how GRRM will achieve this transition but I hope he will do a better job here.
Bran ruling with an All-Star GoT Team on the small council does not feel like book material to me but more of a way to end many characters story lines within as few scenes as possible.
The part that somehow ticket me off the most is Sansa demanding the North to be an independent kingdom. How the fuck is it reasonable that during a council, which tries avoiding the mistakes of the past, she sets the precedence for the next Lord, who wants to rule independent from the Iron Throne (or maybe we should say "The Crown" from now on...)? Too me that feels really absurd. It feels like they wanted to have at least one empowered woman at the end, since the other one was unfit to rule. I really appreciate the intention of establishing some kind of female leadership here but the result felt like very lazy writing once more.

While watching I was actually wondering, whether they could have shot that scence qickly after Episode 4 aired.
D&D are completely retarded, they must have mental issues or something. Even an idiot with no idea about the series can write a better ending, LOL. Oh, and GRRM is a f...king GOD compared to them. ;)
But at least the scenes make sense in this last episode. Not compellingly, but they do make sense.
Better than trying to shoot like smartasses and failing pathetically...
I really don't care if the scenes in the ending make sense or not. It's a TV show, a series, it's supposed to entertain us, not let us completely disappointed. The same ending could have been written and directed much better, instead we got one rushed as f...k!!! :(
Just watched the ending. Honestly, after the last three episodes which I all hated with a passion I didn't expect much from the last episode. I still hated the first half for all the reasons I hated the last episode. The rest of the episode just left me with an empty feeling. This isn't a bittersweet ending like GRRM told us we would get, this felt more like a fairytale ending, but whatever.
I guess I'm just glad we won't get any more disappointing episodes of Game of Thrones and I can just rewatch seasons 1-4 and try to pretend it all ends there. I also hope GRRM finishes his books (though I am sceptical about that) and delivers something with the quality of what we used to get, so we will at least have something better than this.
I was just reminded by a post on r/Freefolk that the only purpose of the horse that Arya rode away on at the end of episode 5 was to make it look cool. Once again they show us that they don't care at all about logic as long as it makes a scene look good.
To be honest, Game of Thrones is a copy paste of Arthas with Jaina Proudmore (where Jaina is actually Jon Snow and Arthas is Dayneris)
Six weeks ago, I would have said that's like saying Trigonometry is a copy paste of Arithmetic
Now . . . yes

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

"この 先は 暗い 夜道 だけが も 知らない それでも信じて 進むんだ 星が その道 を 少し でも 照らしてくをるのを"
what a fucking disappointment. very little in this episode made sense.

Only thing I liked in the finale is the "sit the fuck down, Edmur". That's it.

I appreciated the last episode.
Not a masterpiece of innovation, but it was a nice.
TL;DR:
D&D write way worst than GRRM.
Me after watching the ending:
Yeah, that's the downside of it.
But at least the scenes make sense in this last episode. Not compellingly, but they do make sense.

The goal of all life is death.

A tv series is supposed to entertain, yes, but through NARRATION (of something with some substance).
That's because they forgot that, and focused everything on sheer entertainment, that we got to this point...

"It's not about what you do, it's about how you do it!!!" I hope those words resonate in D&D's heads for the rest of their lives. XD
They focused everything on stupid CGI. To be more precise, on the f...king dragons, that is all...

Brienne writing in the book.
