1) Writing is bad, hurry and biased..Everytime we saw her, pass her limits, her actions were justified, we saw people (even kids, like... Arya?!) doing worst, even for fun and none of them decent into madness..Killing traitors, murderers, slave masters, I doubt can turn a wannabe hero into Nazis' Luftwaffe..You want to saw us madness..Then saw us something real, no telenovela's cliche (good and kind turns evil cause of power)..
2) Message turns out to be shit..Don't care if it is fantasy, action, thriller, german bdsm porn, a message must exist..Right now the only message this show sends is "you cannot escape your past" and thats a shitty message to send.. Seriously, her father was mad so she has to be mad, just lazy, lame and cliché..
3) And on top of all that, shock just for shock with dramatic music and close captions..
Best series ever, will end just like any other soap opera, with a vary fast happy ending for kids wetting their underwears for Cinderella-Snow, after some tearful moments..But we have to be gentle, the show must end now, cause D&D must direct Star Wars..I think 20 minutes will be enough time..

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Except Dany would never do this, and was done for the sake of the plot and to be "shocking".
Let's take a look at what Dany has done throughout the show, shall we?
Dany threatens to cut off her brother's hands if he hits her again
Dany watches without emotion as her older brother (heir to the throne over her) is melted to death by her husband
Knowing that the death of her Kahl husband will mean the end of her and her army, Dany sacrifices her unborn child to a witch in a misguided attempt to save him
Thinking all is lost, Dany burns the witch, her semi-dead husband and herself alive, only to survive and get dragons, because magic
Dany threatens to raze Qarth when they don't let her in
Dany has her Dragons incinerate the Warlock Pyat Pree
Dany locks Xaro in his vault to die of starvation
Dany burns the slavemasters of Astapor and steals their army of unsullied
Dany orders the unsullied to sack astapor and leaves the city ungoverned and in shambles to march to Yunkai
Dany sacks the city of Yunkai and leaves the city ungoverned and in shambles to march to Mareen
Dany instigates a slave revolt to take Mareen, then crucifies 163 nobles from that city
Dany has a great master burned alive and eaten by her dragons as reprisal for Ser Barriston's death
Dany gathers all the Dothraki leaders together and burns them alive
Dany declares her intent to "return their [slaver's bay] cities to the dirt," but is persuaded to by Tyrion not to do it
Dany burns the entire slavemaster's armada (what about the innocents?!)
Dany burns the Tarlys for not bending the knee
Yes. Dany is was a totally kind a delightful ruler up until season 8 episode 5. If anything is clear, its that the only thing holding her back the entire time from not doing this earlier were here trusted advisers, who are now all dead or untrusted
I stopped reading after the first two bullets. Viserys was basically Ramsay with platinum blond hair. If you take Dany threatening him or not being sad when he dies as forshadowing that she would commit mass murder, you are deranged.
YET DANY STILL NAMED A DRAGON AFTER HIM!!!!!!!!
Sorry for the capslock but how could people miss that Dany is not right in the head? She falls in love with her rapist, that's the very first thing she does. Really thanks to the creator of that list though.
People get blinded by beauty, dragons, nice music, badassery, some noble agenda. But that's all intended .Basically Jorah starts the whole thing out of blind love: "If she has Dragons, she can do anything"
However Dragons are likely only a product of blood magic and the Red Star. There are no gods. Burn a girl with a wood horse, you get a horse. Well that's the show's take. In the books everything is hidden in cryptic prophecies - which are all like Noah's ark, fictive myths based on real events.
Again, having a complicated relationship with an abusive older brother(not being sad after as he dies, but still wanting to honor the person he was with naming) is not foreshadowing madness leading to mass murder. See the hound the hound and his abusive older brother. See Tyrion who actually kills his abusive father! People are really grasping at straws here.

The Targayen madness was foreshadowed to the nth degree. Hereditary madness, probably product of in-breeding. She could have 'snapped' at any point, and had to be persuaded to be reluctantly merciful on so many occassions. Now all her advisors that might have talked her down are either dead or untrustworthy, while she is pure Targaryen and has divine right, from her point of view.
I can only assume that those saying her descent makes no sense were hoping, cause we're getting near the end, that is was going to be all love, fluff and bunnies. Wrong, you're watching game of thrones. I don't watch GoT much. I only really like the Hound. I was satisfied with the Hound's end. It felt right. After all his suffering caused by his Brother, I can say with relative certainty that this was the best way for the Hound and the Mountain's story to end. Neither survives. The Mountain should thank his Brother for ending his imprisonment in that ghoulish shell. The Hound gets to press his Brother's face to the fire with this last clash, and I couldn't be happier with his this wrapped up.
I don't know what all is wrong with this current season, but a lot of people are complaining, so there must be something the matter. Sorry if you all are disappointed, but I got what I wanted, which is good enough for me. I'm not in a position to claim anything about the show in its current condition, aside from the Hound's end and how I feel about it. It just feels right to me.

Welcome back my dear friend! Long time no see!
Thank you. I've been busy and without a computer. I have a tablet now, but I don't care to use this site on the tablet. Making a move to Maryland soon. Been working on a few things, including a Facebook page and a Youtube channel. Don't want to advertise that here too much, but here we are. Been working 16+ hours a day, 11 at my actual job and 5+ on my page, channel, and a number of other projects. I've been quite busy.
Working a lot, I haven't had much time to be here, let alone play Hearthstone. Pro-tip: Don't ever get a device with less than 32 GB internal memory. I had to uninstall Hearthstone from my tablet because I only have about 4-6 GB of internal memory to do anything with the fucking thing. Not happy. I'd just play Hearthstone on this laptop, but it's not mine, and Hearthstone keeps crashing whenever I play it on this shit laptop. So... I can't play Hearthstone at all, at least for a month.
This is the part that personally bothers me the most: the nihilist message we're being given. Maybe people (like myself) shouldn't have expected a happy ending, and maybe this was GRRM's ultimate point all along, but I really did not need 8+ years of story to end with "nothing matters, you can't escape your past or overcome your deficiencies, everyone is fucked." Real life is cynical enough as it is.
I'll paraphrase an article I read: "the showrunners said that this final season would be 'bittersweet', but they pushed too much 'bitter' and not enough 'sweet'."
To me, one thing that could really make this ending is Queen Sansa. For all the lack of growth/reversion we've seen (Jamie, Brienne, Dany, Cersi), Sansa going from being the dumbest Stark and dumbest main character in the first few seasons, to becoming the most cunning and prescient character(super-saiyan Bran not included) has been a real bright spot (your "sweet" so to speak"). After all the horror she's endured, seeing her end up on top would be nice. It would also pacify all those saying that show treats women poorly after Dany became a crazy-pants that's surely going to die. Though I can't imagine the books ending with Queen Sansa, her character in the books is dumb beyond repair.

At the very least, there should be some surprise ending rather than "the heroic and good male chosen one becomes the king." He's acts just like Ned and Robb Stark, but I bet he won't suffer their fates.
We all know that he's going to kill Danearys and become king, although he'll feel very bad about it, I'm sure. A very bad ending to a story that was supposedly about upending the conventions of fantasy.

I don't think so. I think he'll kill Dany (his Queen) and then take the black rather than become king.

I think Jon's pretty much done with the Night's Watch after they murdered him ;P Don't see him going back to that. Maybe he'll travel north of the wall and join the wildlings though.
Anyone who was expecting a happy ending wasn't watching the same show I have. I fully expected Dany to lose it seasons ago and it was foreshadowed many, many times. I do feel that the show has felt rushed over the last couple of seasons. Loose ends have been tied up too quickly and tidily. But I believe that those ends are pretty much the same ones that Martin intends in his books as well.
And although Dany's demise is imminent; I don't see Jon taking the throne. He doesn't want it. He has never wanted it. Either the throne will be occupied by an underdog with royal blood (Gendry, Samwell or maybe even a dispassionate Brandon) or by no one at all. Personally I favor the latter. Let the seven kingdoms, including the North, rule themselves. Let the Game of Thrones end in a draw.

Hope things are going well. I suspected something along the lines of you getting picked up by blizzard to toil away for ridiculous hours when you seemingly fell off the face of the earth

Working Monday through Saturday has been super grating, considering it's mindless warehouse shit. I could say a lot about my issues with the place, but I'm saving that for when I get in touch with the BBB about how fucked that place is. Haven't been able to do much for myself with the little free time I have, so I've been using that small amount of time to work on the page and channel. I'm attempting to weave many projects into a massive push towards something that's still 9+ years away. If only it was Game Design that I've been at work on. A lot of what I'm doing could get me back into Game Design, as I could become entirely independent in my efforts.
We'll see what kind of fruits are bore from this after long enough.
Helpful Clarification on Forbidden Topics for Hearthstone Forums:
Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
There is a lot that needs to happen still in this single episode:
1) Brann's story needs to be finished. They showed him being able to change things in the past twice (Hodor and yelling at young Ned), so I'm sure something will happen with that. Shame Brann hasn't done anything this season yet, because he could've prevented much of events that took place. This might intertwine with Tyrion's ending, since they "talked". Also the whole Jaime might still be alive theory (since he got no farewell on social media nor did he get his "death" interview) would be very good to salvage his character-arc somewhat. All the remaining characters need some sort of closure, not just the main cast, but the likes of Yara Greyjoy and Bronn as well. And what is going on in Essos etc?
2) They need to take care of Daenerys. Killing her isn't really an option because all the Dothraki are her bloodriders so they'll have to die too, and Drogon is not letting anyone hurt his mom. I doubt Westeros has enough strength left to fight her, so either she fixes everything (Brann's time-travel can work here) or leave for Essos peacefully and maintain the peace she brought there as redemption for her crimes. ... Or she burns everyone left in Westeros, but that isn't bittersweet ... . Jon hasn't done anything for the story this season, and the Lord of Light brought him back for a reason, which apparently had nothing to do with the Night King (he can't be brought back to kill Daenerys because if he stayed dead, she would not have become the Mad Queen in the first place). Maybe he's the one that goes back in time, keeping his secret or something.
Lets hope to end on a positive note. The last couple of episodes were a bit subpar, but no need to complain before it's all over. There should still be a plot twist coming, to explain everything. Unfortunately, with only 75 minutes left, it will probably feel rushed again, but I hope they'll take their time on some scenes. We'll see tonight if I might sign that remake petition or not xd
I think the Brann line is the entire reason I've been willing to attack this season before it is over.
Even if they sent 100% of this episode on Brann, I find it hard to believe they could address the radical questions posed and betrayed by that multi-season story. And of course, they aren't going to spend nearly that much time on it.
It was very interesting to see the emerging commentary from several Game of Thrones actors. In particular, Conleth Hill, the guy who played Varys, went into great detail about the deteriorating quality of the show in basically every aspect except effects. Listening to him, and to a lesser extent Peter Dinklage, it appears we are not the only ones gravely disappointed.
I can understand why some fans just want us to shut up and enjoy what's given. To some extent, I feel the urge to turn off and tune in. I mean, my God, this show has been running during the vast majority of my adult life. It hurts to watch this. But, as I wrote in my big post earlier, art matters. Culture matters. It's crazy to have folks just say, "it's a show about dragons and castles, it doesn't matter."
I hope the next generation of authors and screenwriters don't reach the same conclusion.

One more day, and the nightmare will end.
For the watch.

I wonder how much the number of signs will skyrocket after the final episode. :P
