Well im glad your also an xmen fan :)...which is why i wonder why you would support the movie studios that dont give a shit about the original "lore" so to speak. And im not saying youre a drone per se...lets take black panther for example...that movie was a completely generic uninspired script but people are praising it like the second coming of christ just because the whole world has gone mad with color/gender/whatnot equality which in my opinion has no place i deciding what a movie should be like.
The reason I support the movie studios that don't give a shit about the original "lore" (XD) is because I enjoy watching the story of the X-Men from another perspective too. That is probably because it's the core of the X-Men theme that attracts me the most and not the original stories in general (although I really like them). I love the concept of mutants with super powers being persecuted just for being different and treated as threats, and the movies show exactly that (again, from another perspective). ;)
Oh, and about the Black Panther movie, you are totally right dude, LOL. XD
The original Dark Phoenix Saga was both personal and epic. Jean Grey was a sensitive person with a power she barely understood, who was abused (by Mastermind), and she ended up threatening everyone in the galaxy. The movie has to get the emotions right, and it has to get the epic plotting right. I hope it will do so, but I doubt it.
I don't like the casting of Sophie Turner. She doesn't have that raw sensitivity that Jean Grey should have. You need really big acting chops to show her struggle, and frankly she doesn't have the beauty we associate with John Byrne's Jean Grey.
The movie won't have Mastermind. Phoenix became Dark Phoenix because of Mastermind's psychic abuse. The abuse subtext is an important part of Jean's story.
It doesn't look like the movie will have Dark Phoenix committing planetary genocide or being put on trial by a galactic authority. That's not epic enough.
The X-Men's new outfits look dumb.
There are too many other big name actors in the movie (Jennifer Lawrence/Michael Fassbender/others), and they have to be shoe-horned in to the detriment of Jean's story.
No Wolverine/Jean dynamic - how can it have the iconic scene where she begs him to kill her?
Everything after X2 has been progressively more mediocre. Apocalypse was actively bad. It's like Marvel doesn't really care about this franchise, but it still makes a reliable amount of money for them to keep cranking them out.
Logan was carrying X-Men franchise for me, it won't be the same without him. Do you remember that scene when he had to kill Jean Grey? One of the most emotional scenes I've ever seen.

Yeah, I agree, a movie like this without Logan looks like shit. And yeah, I remember that scene perfectly, one of my favorites in superhero films, poor Jean and also poor Wolverine. :(
I'm about as excited as I could be for ~2 hours of Sansa Stark melodrama and crushing empty vehicles/buildings with psychic powers. I'm sure you'll love it whatever happens since you love all xmen movies (Last Stand, Origins and Apocalypse?).
I will be watching this with my usual group when we get drunk and laugh at cash-in, fanbait movies that go up on Prime Video.

the most emotional scene I have ever seen was in castaway when he lost his volleyball. if you think this sounds ridiculous then you should watch the movie.
about X-men, I am a huge fan of marvel, I have seen most of their newer movies, but X-men has never been interesting to me. and after seeing apocalypse, and that one where they had to go back in time to save the old guy in a wheelchair. I dont even care anymore. it is just all a bundle of crap to me.

It's not made by Disney/Marvel, it's made by Fox... The same people who made the Fantastic 4 movies.
They do not have a good track record of making good Super Hero films.
it's like forever since the last xmen film all due to the fact avenger movies are taking the spot. and i feel like the time for mutant has come to an end or at least not that much of interesting to me anymore. i rather play heart stone or get games in apknite and play.

dude, if you are a real fan then it will live on no matter how long has it gone! i am so excited for the film to come
Now this is how you make a f...king trailer, even without showing us much about the movie, it's f..king epic. F..k X-Men: Dark Phoenix, I don't give a shit about that movie anymore, the Avengers: Endgame second trailer is here!!! :D :D :D

Since we are talking about trailers, WotC taught all the plebs how it's done! This made the avengers trailer look like a kindergarden project (or maybe i am just hyped)

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.

Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken.
This is my favorite HS news of the day kappa

Off-topic section, dude. Can you read?
