So it’s been a while and the other night I finally caved...I went on YouTube to find out what’s been happening in WoW lately.
So y’all remember the start of episode III when General Griveous ‘kidnaps’ Chancellor Palpatine and Obi-Wan & Anakin have to go save him but really it’s all just Palpatine getting Anakin to do something he wants right?
well apparently, a raid boss kidnapped Malfurion while also corrupting Ysera. For those that don’t know, Ysera is Malfurion’s boss at Druids Inc. Now that ysera is corrupted, we have to put her down right? And at the end of the day, Malfurion got us to off his superior for him.
The same thing happened to Fandral Staghelm, a young hotshot angling for Malfurion’s job. The same thing almost happened to Cenarius...
And then people wonder why I think Malfurion is a freaking shithead.
Not that I think he is doing this on purpouse. It just happens he definitively seems unable to do anything right, not even when all the cards to do so are given to him (ffs, you only had to say, "ok, Illidan, I forgive you" or something, why did you have to act high and mighty when an Aspect died because of you?)
Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Ysera the Dreamer? I thought not. It's not a story the Druids would tell you. It's a Dragon legend. Darth Ysera was an aspect created by the Titans, so powerful and so wise she could use the Dream to create life... She had such a knowledge of the Nightmare that she could even awake the ones she cared about from sleeping. The Nightmare is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. She became so powerful... the only thing she was afraid of was losing her sanity, which eventually, of course, she did. Unfortunately, she taught her apprentice everything she knew, then her apprentice forsake her in her sleep. It's ironic she could save others from the Nightmare, but not herself.

Oh they’re reeeallly saving the moment of reconciliation between the two. They’re gonna ride this conflict as long as possible.
In the case of Illidan, putting a good guy in the guise of a bad guy resulted in one of the most interesting character arcs in the recent game. But of course they’d never have the sack to come out and say that an established good guy like Malf is at worst a manipulative usurper and at best an inconsiderate prick.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
We could say the opposite, that Malfurion is a Jedi, if we compare him to Obi Wan, and Ysera / Qui Gonn, and Fandral / Anakin.
That is actually more fitting.
I think it's the time to execute order 66...
