Esporte Interativo is either having some strange trouble with the image they were sent by Blizzard to post, or they're trolling the Hearthstone fanbase so hard that a large portion of us had conniptions because 25% of the cards to-be-revealed today failed to show up.
Regardless of the "big picture" importance of not seeing a single card reveal today, it is annoying that the chosen "revealer" is as of this writing almost four hours late with no indication that they'll post the card reveal at any point in time.
On the first point: PEOPLE, THIS IS A DIGITAL CARD GAME. We don't even technically own any of these virtual cards; if (here comes a very funny joke) Blizzard ever went out of business and Hearthstone was not picked up and continued by another company, those virtual cards would be gone. That is how "important" it is that we see the revealed cards when they're promised, if we're going to consider the scope of our lives. Yes, many people adore this game more than I do, and I really do love Hearthstone, but that doesn't change the fact that what happened today was still lightyears beyond the botch job of a reveal we had during Frozen Throne during the summer. It could have been so much worse, and Blizzard is getting better and better with every release.
On the second point: I question how Esporte Interativo was chosen as a virtual venue by which this card reveal was supposed to happen. I mean, they seem by all accounts to be a soccer (or fútbol) clickbait page, not a page that would have anything to do with Hearthstone or video games in general. They even posted a meme today that mocked video games as an inferior group activity in the face of "the beautiful game." I'm having a hard time believing there wasn't a major screw up here on Blizzard's part or whoever is in charge of choosing and organizing these community-involved reveals.
No matter how this hashes out in the end, this is a weird but very minor problem to have on the second day of the reveal period. Let's try to enjoy the content we did receive.

Go out to the bar, have a few beers, and come back tomorrow to look for the card. One card revel will not make that much of a difference in the long run.
they are going to reveal the card on their tv show today, Esporte interativo has 2tv channels the main one that talk only about soccer and mainstream sports, and another one that talk about every type of sports and they do show Esports as well. they broadcasted the HCT this year, and they covered blizzcon too. the facebook page is the facebook page of their main channel, thats why there is no gaming related posts.
they still fucked up the reveal. most likely a miss comunication with blizzard and esporte interativo.
Actually, the day Blizzard bankrupts and Hearthstone ceases to exist, Hearthstone will still live through fan-made replica as it already exists nowadays. You can play Hearthstone without running the original game, you just do not have the animation side of the game but the cards will definitely still exists.
I mean, yeah we shouldn't really take that to ourselves as some kind of a cathastrophy (that's not a way to go), but primo how irresponsible you have to be to be the chosen for reveal and don't do that at all? And not respond to anything like for 3 hours already and secundo what did Blizzard think when they were choosing them for a card reveal as they're not connected to the computer games like almost at all?
Well, I didn't so there's that. What I did do was justify not being total trash lords when this reveal has already gone extremely well on average.
If we were to give Blizzard a grade based on successfully revealed cards, they'd have gotten an A- (12/13 cards in two days, roughly 93% success rate).
I mean, do you only accept 100% success rates?

Yeah, that should have been communicated to fans and sites like Hearthpwn that closely follow card reveals. Very confusing, but that's good to know; helps to understand what went wrong.

That card reveal (or in this case card non-reveal) might've been a mistake, but that's not what is bugging me. The thing that annoys the fire out of me is the fact that we weren't told what went wrong or why it went wrong. I find it preposterous that we weren't told that there was a major **** up at Esporte Interativo.
Yeah, Blizzard and/or Esporte Interativo should have explained this on a widely followed platform, like the Facebook page they linked to or on any of the sites followed by Hearthstone players following the reveals. That would have made way more sense.
yeah but why not spread the word beyond one country/region? Or is that typical of Blizzard? I honestly have no clue what they typically do in situations like this where the reveal outlet is international

Its just that "technical problems" is hard to believe when the whole idea is showing a picture. Cynically, I feel like this was a decision to farm clicks all day.

That's a very funny thing to say in a children's card game fan site, where a lot of the playerbase are underage.

Mmmm... it seems that you are nothing else than a fanboy. But I have some news for you mr. fanboy: Blizzard doesn't give a shit about you and your life. So, instead of trying to justify the stupidity of a company that doesn't care about your existence at all, I will try to do something else with my spare time if I were you.

Two major things I'd like to address:

Last expansion all we got in day 1 was a Tickling Abomination and yet we survived. In 2 weeks all cards will be revealed, worry not.

Why are you justifying incompetence?

I was wondering why they were chosen as well. I feel like someone screwed up, hardly seems like an appropriate platform for a card reveal.

Has anyone else noticed that the failed reveal features what appears to be a "troll"? Is this a coincidence or something deeper?
