Hi mates, after a couple of beers i had a nice nerdy conversation with my friends that i want to continue it with you guys!Who is your most beloved male character and female character ever? They can be from games, movies,tv series, books whatever!
The format will be like this
Name:
Franchise:
Picture(if exists)
Reason(if you want to)
I will make the start!
Generally my favourite type of characters are the strugglers.Characters who are so emotionally scarred that have become hollow or mentally unstable.Yet they continue to fight against insurmountable odds both internally and externally till the very end.
Favourite male character
Name: Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader
Franchise: Star wars Saga
Reason:Well he is Shakespeare's Makbeth, but with lightsabers, magic powers, space battles and most importantly he becomes evil for the sake of his wife and unborn children .Only to become the reason he losses them. How can you not love such a character!?
Favourite female
Name: Kiss Shot Acerola Orion Heart Under Blade
Franchise: Monogatari series
Reason :For an immortall legendary vampire with goldlike powers, her story is so poetic and tragic at the same time.I won't get into more details because i don't want to spoil those who might get into the series.
but htese chars are all fake why do you love something thats created out of someones mind
Because as humans we love stories and imaginary characters,Furthermore being imaginary doesn't mean they are fake.Consider this:Who has a bigger impact? An ordinary human who is only known by a handful of people or imaginary characters that are loved by millions?Stories and characters are everlasting. Most of them were here before us and will be here long after we are gone.In a sense they are more ''real'' than us.
Reason: I have always loved mewtwo from the original movie. He was a total bad a** and was ready to literally take over the world with nobody to stop him before deciding to be a gracious god and allowed everyone to stay free.
Franchise: Souls Series, specifically, Dark Souls (1)
Reason: I love the backstory of the character that you can figure out by piecing together information spread across part of the game and I enjoy the connection to Sif. It's a really interesting character for me.
Man killing Artorias was the most depressing thing after killing his wolf Sif(post Manus battle). After putting their stories together i didn't want to fight them at all. :'(
There's people who will make terrorist attacks based purely on what X fictional deity supposedly instructed them. At least here most of them are not going to instruct people to do terrorist attacks, at least, I hope not.
Has a very mature backstory for a children's comic, I like the development of flaws (slight, but there) and to introduce tragedy the main character of a comic line of this type is almost unheard of. There are many strictly better characters, but in franchises of this type I think it's in a league of its own.
Reason (I wrote this with the help of the Saint Seiya wiki :P): He is a total badass. He is the first antagonist in the series that the other Bronze Saints must defeat and later he becomes a very powerful ally of them. He is the strongest Bronze Saint when it comes to raw power. While he is full of hatred and anger, and very much of a loner, he is also a noble down to earth person and very complex character, who does not doubt whenever it's necessary to sacrifice his life for his friends and especially his young brother.
When he was a kid, Shun, his young brother, was originally meant to go to Death Queen Island to start the training to become the Phoenix Bronze Saint. The Death Queen Island is a fictitious island located below the Equator in the South Pacific that has an extremely hostile envionment, raining fire all year round, and it is covered with volcanic mountains all over, gaining its reputation of "Hell on Earth". Very few people return alive from Death Queen Island, and those who return are said to become completely different people than their former selves. Considering how dangerous was the Death Queen Island for Shun, Ikki demanded to be sent in his place. The event that unfold there push Ikki to take vengeance against all those involved in sending him to that place, and he turns against Shun up until later coming to his senses after being defeated by Pegasus Seiya, the main protagonist of the series.
Once allied with the Bronze Saints again, Ikki returns to being Shun's older brother. He is often seen coming to Shun's aid in battle, and even sacrifices himself in order to protect Shun and the others in his battle against Virgo Shaka.
Ikki is often confronted with the strongest enemies. His energy level also places it well above all the saints of silver. As the myth of the Phoenix, the power of Ikki increases every time he is killed and resurrected. In his battle with Virgo Shaka, Ikki was able to awaken his seventh sense, which placed him in the ranks of Gold Saints and Hades judges in terms of power and skill.
Favourite female character
Name: Asuka Langley Sohryu.
Franchise: Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Reason: Most people here probably know her already, considering how famous the Evangelion series is, so I'm just going to say that I love this character. Yeah, I know, she is totally f...king crazy, but that is one of the main reasons that makes her so interesting for me. :P
He is a very interesting character, as he had an abusive father but a loving mother who taught him that the only things he could depend upon were himself and his gun. Later in life he married, and had a kid, but they were killed by assassins (whom he killed). He kills the sole survivor's spouse and takes their baby, but later in the game, if the right dialogues are chosen, he shows remorse, because his own family was killed. He is also a very difficult opponent when fought. He is one of the more colorful characters in Fallout 4.

He is the first antagonist in the series that the other Bronze Saints must defeat and later he becomes a very powerful ally of them. He is the strongest Bronze Saint when it comes to raw power. Asuka is amazing! She is one of favourites as well! But Ikki?Really?I mean he seems to be a very cool character i admit, but i was sure you would go with Ramsay Bolton.
Edit:Btw ikki is the only one i that i don't recognise in this thread until now.
Franchise: Warlock of the magus world (light novel)
Reason: He's basically the "bad guy" MC.
"A scientist’s goal is to explore the secrets of the universe, and this is exactly what Leylin sets out to do when he is reincarnated. Dark, cold and calculating, he makes use of all his resources as he sets off on his adventures to meet his goal. "
Name: Selene
Franchise: Underworld
Reason: She's loyal (The show IS fantasy) +vampire fetish.
Reason (I wrote this with the help of the Saint Seiya wiki :P): He is a total badass. He is the first antagonist in the series that the other Bronze Saints must defeat and later he becomes a very powerful ally of them. He is the strongest Bronze Saint when it comes to raw power. Asuka is amazing! She is one of favourites as well! But Ikki?Really?I mean he seems to be a very cool character i admit, but i was sure you would go with Gordon Ramsay.
Haha, yeah, Ramsay is one of my favourite characters of all time too (obviously), but I put Ikki as my favourite male character because at least I can relate to certain aspects of his persona, something that I can't really do with Ramsay. I love how he fights fire with fire and the fact that sometimes he can be a real asshole even when he is in reality a very nice person with very good feelings. Also, he had a really traumatic childhood, and I can relate to that too, but I'm not going to enter in details here. :P
Edit: F...k, I should't have said that last thing. :P I was also going to put The Comedian from Watchmen as my favourite male character (I can relate to him in many aspects too), but I ended up with Ikki in the end.
This is a very, VERY difficult question for me to answer, and these are just a few characters I love that I remembered from the top of my head.
Female: PROBABLY Ellie from The Last of Us, Rikku or Yuna from Final Fantasy X or like Arya from GoT,...
Male: Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid, Sephiroth from FF7, Michael Corleone from The Godfather, Itachi from Naruto, Agent Smith from The Matrix, ...
I imagine that this will almost be impossible to answer for anyone who has been a movie, gaming, anime and series nerd for most of his life(as I have). Most people who can make out a definitive answer are probably just hardcore fanboys of a single series/show/game, because otherwise it's nearly impossible.
Reason - His back story is very interesting since he was the world's greatest magician (practiced occult magic, not parlor tricks), so great that he united the 5 worlds known as the Imajica (Earth being 1 of the 5). Without revealing too much, he did something terrible and had a spell cast on him that he would forget who he was. Many years passed as Earth was disconnected ffrom the rest of the Imajica. The story is about John Furie Zacharias (aka Gentle) and how he is on a long trek to rediscover who he is and about the Imajica and how it is ruled (damn, I want to spoil this so bad! best hook in the book!). The reason he is my favorite is because he is a man of few words with incredible impact on everyone he meets (properties of being the world's greatest Maestro), and his story mirrors that of a fallen hero who is in search of redemption.
Female:
Name - San (sp?)
From - Princess Mononoke (Studio Ghibli anime movie)
Reason - This is quite possibly my favorite movie of all time, animated or otherwise. Such a fantastic sotryline, and the character development is supreme, especially with San.
Honorable Mention (female):
Name - Phage the Untouchable
From - Magic the Gathering
Reason - For some reason I just always loved this card as a kid, back when it was still relatively new. Something about winning the game outright always struck a chord with me, plus the artwork is so tough. :)

The 1st step towards a better game is firing Mike Donais! We had enough of his "skillful" balances!
#FireMikeDonais
Male i would probably have to go with
Female is a little tougher. but i would go with
Name: Tyrion Lannister.
Franchise: Game Of Trones.
Reason: He is the best character in the best show ever.
Name: Sarah Connor.
Franchise: Terminator 2.
Reason: The most badass female in films and for my deception the 2 GoT actresses don't make a good job with the character... :(
This is a very, VERY difficult question for me to answer, and these are just a few characters I love that I remembered from the top of my head.

Too lazy to post pics, but here goes.
Male:
Name - Gentle
From - Imajica (Clive Barker novel)
Reason - His back story is very interesting since he was the world's greatest magician (practiced occult magic, not parlor tricks), so great that he united the 5 worlds known as the Imajica (Earth being 1 of the 5). Without revealing too much, he did something terrible and had a spell cast on him that he would forget who he was. Many years passed as Earth was disconnected ffrom the rest of the Imajica.
