I have tried all other suggestions on about 10 different forums and nothing worked. I found that LUMENATA PRO software which is the default for my Sentey mouse was the culprit. Exiting this program completely solved my problem. Something with it running was conflicting with Hearthstone. Completely clean fps after killing it.
Just added the "targetframerate=", worked a treat. When I open up the friends menu though it still lags for a few seconds - it's been like this since they updated HS maybe, two months ago? It was the update that made it possible to become invisible over WiFi. That's when I first noticed the problem.

The newest update from yesterday should improve performance, no?
Nope, updated yesterday and played last night. It was okay, hang for a bit on load up but was good afterwards. Booted it up this morning and completely froze, had to Ctrl Alt Del to shut HS down. Using Nvidia so maybe that might be the problem, I'm not too sure with the technical bits of things but someone posted about Nvidia on their machine.

Yes, but the frame rate stutter that usually started showing up after a few games should be gone. In terms of overall smoothness, should be much better according to a lot of people.
I really can't complain about performance, HearthStone is amazing right now .
I sell my VGA, the game is running at 60fps in 2560x1080p with integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics 630).
Much better than any other game I have.
Idk, overwatch for me runs at above 120 fps on High and about 70-100 on ULTRA, no stutters or anything on GTX 1050ti OC and Ryzen 5 and a 144hz Monitor. But hearthstone was laggy after a few games. I have not updated my PC version yet cause I've only been playing on my phone for the past 4-5 days. So, today, if all's well, I'll get home, fully update Hearthstone and start busting open packs. (at work now)
its been stuttering for me for about half a year now, I have friends who play hearthstone on super computers and hearthstone stutters for them as well, I have come to realize that its something in the software when updates are coded into the files of hearthstone for example nerfs, buffs etc. that the programmers overlook this and or choose to ignore these software errors, so yes it is a wee bit infuriating but eventually one gets use to the game stuttering upon booting and when finding games and sometimes the game just freezes and disconnects you randomly, which has rarely occurred but it can lead to a loss because of all the stuttering steps you have to go through to get back in, with this all said I wouldn't waste your time trying to contact their support team because blizzard cares little for there player base and you will end up being told to post on the forms to seek out other players who have had similar issues and I just find that whole approach laughable because it just proves how little they care for us players, I am certain that there are no plans to correct this at all so my advice is to play the game and don't give them a penny in your name.
