I could see Voodoo over an Abusive (or potentially both) for minions post forked lightning or swipe. We play young priestess for a reason to keep what we got alive, so like that sub. Not having space for Leper Gnomes is a bit of a shame though, but I do like it more in the Power Overwhelming/Charge minion variation.
Its great to see the different combo's players are putting together to win. I personally love to play Priest, maybe has something to do with playing a priest in WoW for the past 8 years. I have yet to see a preist deck here with a tournament win or in the top 5 of a tournament? Are there any viable priest decks out there for tournament play?
I DC'd first match turn 4 and Dalighzic wouldn't replay me, took the win. Bleh. Fun to participate though, will be doing this tourny again. Everyone should sign up!
Well you can check the brackets and see I played him the first round. Only person who knows I DC'd was him, and when he denied the rematch it's the winners job to message the admin. However, I didn't mean to start any drama, he won several several more games after our match and had a good deck. The way the tourny is formatted requires you to beat multiple people/decks.
It was disappointing for sure, but it's tough to really be mad because it was listed as the non-DC'ers choice if they wanted to replay or take the win. So it certainly was a legal move, but a bummer. I think if the game is even replaying is the "right" move, unless someone is getting smashed and there was a chance of plug pulling.
His message to me was "I had a really good hand and this deck has like no card draw, so I'm going to take the win."
In the future...for this tournament this is how its going to work...For the prelim(pre-top8) you replay it. The top 8 match up also known as the final 8 show down will. If your opponent dc'd and you have lethal take a SS. If you can not prove lethal that turn you must replay. If a player is found to be exploiting Dc in order to get a better advantage they are disqualified.....However these decision should not have to happen as you all are great competitors and not one to stoop to such a petty tactic so let us not focus on it...But do know I am keeping an eye open just to ensure this will not become a problem.
Hey Claran I do not want to fight here, but I have a few issues with what you are saying.
It was turn 6, I had complete control of the game. Health, board, and cards. You dcing gives you a huge advantage. I understand you did not intentionally do it but it still works in your favor and not mine.
This did not happen in the Friday #3 tournament... it happened in this weeks #4 tournament. By posting here I feel like you are attempting to take away from my tournament win :P.
And do not say you are not trying to start drama. You post it in the managrind teamspeak and then you come onto the forums and discuss it? If you have an issue I feel like it should have been kept private.
Also, how does one prove lethal? Its not like our hand shows in the screen shot. Im a little disappointed you decided to make such a big fuss about this. I felt the game was in my complete control and would have taken alot for you to win. Sorry to be so blunt but that is the main reason I took the win. I also think it is a little disrespectful to not admit I had an advantage.
Jaeska- I would say it is somewhat unsportsmanlike to call me unsportsmanlike and dickish :). Claran and I might have a difference of opinion but I would have felt cheated if after having control, game playing in my favor we replay and he won. This is a difference of opinions, Claran and I were both respectful about it. There are few variables to consider before saying the word "dickish"
I will replay moving forward, no matter the situation really. It is not worth having a few players get upset over it. If this situation went on to make a beneficial rule change so beit.
My mistake if this was the wrong tournament. I thought this was the one that occurred on 1/10, you played Rogue in that one and I saw Rogue for this so I assumed, assuming makes an ass out of me in this case.
What happened last Friday is something only you and I will ever actually know how it went down, and both of us have no way to prove the other one wrong, so there is not point in continuing the discussion.
Congratulations on winning this tournament, my mistake in thinking this was the 1/10 Swiss. Hopefully we get matched up for a full match this Friday and we can settle it like real men. With cards about wizards and gnomes.
Okay, good luck in future tournaments. "This kind of behavior" seemed to be addressing me. If not I apologize. If you want to get technical you did not directly say DaLighzic acted dickish, so I was wrong. Good day to you sir.
HAHA Claran if I could like a comment I would. Ill see you on Friday, feel free to add me by the way maybe we can turn this rivalry into a friendly one and practice a bit :D. DaLighzic#1483
Wow, after accidentally stumbling upon this thread, I must say that jaeska is being absolutely disrespectful and childish by slandering your name without any prior knowledge about how the game went (turn 6, your advantage) and defending his baseless accusations after being kindly informed of the existing situation. Props to you DaLighzic for being the bigger man in this confrontation and not feeding the trolls.

That Pyrosmith
Rogues on top this weekend! Well played everyone see you next time :).
Haha, didn't realize I didn't even have any epics in my deck. Gotta work on getting a Gorehowl...
Edit: Not to overshare, but since this is the relevant thread people can find my perspective it can be found here.
I never even thought of a pyrosmith type deck for warrior. Bravo sir!

Impressive #1 with such a cheap deck. Rogue ftw.

Thanks PmP. I appreciate it! I tried making a deck that could counter aggro decks but also have an answer for those high cost minions!
