I am currently running a vpn while useing innkeeper and hearthstone and it isnt updating. Is that because im using a vpn or because its just not working right now?

StaffAre you giving the app enough time to do it's job? Go to the Play page in game with the app open and wait for a few min. It shouldn't take too long, but it's no longer instant like it used to be due to changes Blizzard made.
If you see a bad post on the forum use the report function under it, so I or someone else of the moderation team can take care of it!
i left it on the play page for a while and it didnt do anything.

It's down for everyone I know due to all of the changes according to other people posting similar experiences. We will need to wait until the developers update Innkeeper for the latest patches.
