Got the same problem. Can't sync and get error.
But as a side effect to this my collection in hearthpwn is now reduced to (in total):
"Verified" by Innkeeper. I hope for a fix.

The problem started a few days ago when I opened the preorder packs, I hope it will not take too much to fix this.

Innkeeper is also telling me: "There was an error" and it won't sync up my collection! Does anyone have any answers yet?
Its likely the server is getting hammered with the release and everyone updating their collections.
If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

Give the guys a break. It's a free service and I suppose their servers are almost as busy as hearthstone's
