I have two monitors and while I'm playing in one I use the other to track games in excel. After clicking out onto the other window clicking back onto hearthstone makes the innkeeper overlay disappear until the next game is started. This doesn't always happen on the first time I click back in, normally after the second or third time.
Clicking on the overlay before back onto hearthstone seems to stop this happening but its annoying.
Try dragging the overlay to the excel screen. Also, are there any errors in the logs when it disappears? That might help a dev find out what is happening.

Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?
I normally play on full-screen so to test this i put in windowed mode and the problems doesn't happen at all. Also the overlay is just being hidden behind hearthstone and can be restored by alt tab-bing. Still annoying though.
My guess is its a windows 7 issue with "always on top" apps not staying on top. Will try to get a windows 7 VM going so i can reproduce. not able to on 8.1 or 10.
Though this might be fixed in 0.3.0 when we try to introduce overlay being hidden on focus lost, and shows again on focus gain.

Which screen do you run innkeeper, that with excel, or that with the HS client?

The one with the Hs client but the innkeeper is fine, the overlay just disappears.
I can post screenshots if that would help

Same problem when in the other window and nothing at all out of the ordinary in the logs
Hmm.... maybe the Power log has something that kills the overlay after you click out of the client several times.

Can i check the power log?
Yep, its where ever you store Hearthstone. Its in the logs

That seems like a strange bug to have. Does your innkeeper.log (see FAQ post) say anything about the game ending?
Innkeeper developer - yup, it's probably my fault.
Nope i just get something like this in the log regardless of whether it disappears or not
Can you check and see if its just hidden behind the HS window when that happens?
also what version of windows are you on?
