You need better one drops for sure. If you want to go for more of a low-cost beast focus, then Tol'vir Warden is pretty much a necessity. It's kind of a necessity anyway, it's good at grabbing Brood for getting your cycles going (keeping your hand size up), and it's good in the mid-game for deck thinning. As is Raven Caller, which just generates a lot of quest and hand value. I wouldn't have both Rexxar AND Dinomancy together because they really do compete pretty awkwardly. Honestly Dinomancy is just so slow and risky. I don't think this form of Quest Hunter really works.
If you want to take the deck in another direction, I think you're better to go for something slower and less beast focused. Fire Fly is good because of the quest charges, Glacial Shard is a good mid-late game card.
The Toxicologist/Elven Archer/Stonebusk Boar combo is pretty decent option too, but takes a lot of cards. You definitely want Tundra Rhino too. That's the main win condition with the quest. Tracking is a pretty essential card too.
I've been playing quest hunter as my main since the expansion droped, while it may never be a ter 1 deck it is a lot of fun.
i have been going for more of a control version of this which is working well only ruining 6 one drop minions and relying on cards like Ravencaller, Tol'vir Warden, Witchwood Piper & Stitched Tracker ( great for getting more Tol'vir Warden, Toxmonger or Prince Keleseth) to draw them out and to thin my deck.
Toxmonger lets me win against any deck that try's to go tall, with Stitched Tracker it is pretty easy to draw them out and its what give this deck its control.
agro is hard if i can make it past mid game then i have a good chance i have added in Stonehill Defender's & Tar Creeper's to combat this but its very hard to beat a wide board with this deck it still need work here.
anyway if you would like a look i have linked my deck below any advise would be appreciated, especially any ideas for controlling agro
Toxmonger and Houndmaster Shaw is a must for that deck. I've played with quest hunter as well and it's a ton of fun. I even managed to get Houndmaster Shaw and Toxmonger to stick on the board for a few games, and it is insane.
Here´s my take on it. With mine you can almost always play marsh queen by turn 5,6 or 7 and hopefully survive from there on. Vs control you have to track for dire frenzy and wait till turn 9 with your removal tools to do marsh queen+dire frenzy. After that, no amount of boardclears will be able to stop you.
Hey guys, i would really like some feedback on my new deck. It has taken a long time to develop and any feedback would help a lot.
I like to call this the questmancy deck
There is some really nice synergy with the hunter quest and the Dinomancy card, buffing the low cost minions making them not useless.
Hope you guys give it a look and a few games, it is really fun to play
