I understand your issues, for me it's similar. Everytime a new expansion hits my average winrate suffer but I just put it down to getting used to the new cards and experimenting with them. I try to get to know the cards and usually my winrate starts picking up again after a couple of weeks. Just hang in there and you should be fine!!

I was starting to think buying packs is better now....but i think ill give arena a few more tries
Just finished a 12-win run with Rogue, not the best deck but generally I had good quality cards and some pirate synergy. The deck did not inculde a single jade golem card and I think that made it more conistent. As stated above, getting alot of jade golem cards, to the point they actually deliver value, isn't that easy. I'd guess you need around 8 of those cards to actually have them make an impact on the game.
Considering the tier list I find it hard to tell, as I myself still experiment with new cards, sometimes picking them over higher-value ones. The arena experience after release of a new expansion always feels different compared to a couple of months after realse when things settle down.
Am above average atm but i know that it will will stabilize like it always does i have thousands of games locked on HearthArena which i always us to keep track.
These are my win rates with past expansions leading to current.
GVG - 73.23%
BRM - 74.02%
TGT - 72.53%
LOE - 73.13%
WotOG - 71.92%
Kara - 73.08%
MSG (Current) - 77.53%
Good players and most players in general with always be around there average it just takes a proper pooling size to see accurate results.
Also for a Arena tip, classes like Paladin got a lot worse this expansion....Am noticing that Priest is still hardly being played even tho it's in the Top 3 now.. I will be playing a ton of Priest, people still stuck in the old ways of chain picking Mage.
Best classes now is Rogue, Priest, Mage and Warlock.
Mid-tier is Paladin, Shaman.
Druid is bottle of the barrel i would say dead last.
Mage and rogue are still top tier, but other classes are coming closer. In my mind warrior and shaman are tier 2, paladin and druid tier 3, warlock tier 4 and priest definitely caught up to hunter so both at tier 5. It's just a guess, because it's too soon to tell what classes will perform better.
But I share your opinion that a lot of the match-ups seem closer.
It's hilarious that most people always think Warlock is bottom tier and bottom 3 classes, Warlock is top 4 right now...And they have normally been a competitive strong class they have loads of removal tools especially since MSG. I have done 2 Warlock runs so far in MSG, first run was 12-1 and the next was 10-3. Warlock is better then Paladin now and Lock hard counters Paladin, in my last 160 games against Paladin when am Warlock i have a 130-30 record.
Warlock is better then Druid, Warrior, Shaman, Paladin, Hunter. Lock is solid...They have so many board clears now...And most people in Arena flood the board to stupid to play around it.

So based on these numbers, you are the best arena player on all servers. Congrats!

Am defiantly in the top 0.5 or 1% of players...If Blizzard posted the top 100 Arena players i would be on the list. People like Hafu are slightly above me by about 1-2%.
They have posted a list of the top arena players a few weeks ago. The top 3 players generally had 7.2-7.5 wins / run, which is about 71% win rate, considerably lower than what you claim.
Yeah i saw the list....Am pretty sure Hafu was listed around 74% was she not??? It was higher then 71% i know that much....I was disappointed they only showed the top 3 only because i wanted to see where i was on top 100 or 200 players for NA.

Hm I have a 70% win rate on heartharena, but only 6.66 avg win, much less than Kripp and 1 full win less than the top player for America. Not really sure how you'd translate number of wins into win%
I guess it's possible that it would be at like 73-74%?
In order to have a 7.5 win your win % needs to be 73% approximately because that's almost exactly where am at...Hafu had a 7.7 or 7.8 win if am not mistaken which would put her at 74-75% win...I know for a fact it ain't 71%.
I don't see Hafu but it's quite douftful she has a 7.7 average.
The best player on NA has 7.6. Kripp has 7.3 and is 3rd.
So I don't know what that is in win% though but if you did have a 7.5 avg for wins, you'd show up in the top3 of every server except EU, where you'd probably be top10.

Battlepants is Hafu...That is her Battle Tag....The list they showed is actually pretty bad and kind of a joke..If you look at the bottom for other players and even the top 3 shown they used a very small sample size to dictate who was the ''best'', having a sample pool of only 11 runs is a complete joke...That's like saying i have a 100% win rate because i went 12-0 in my first run......generally the more runs recorded the lower the numbers drop....Am curious to see accurate numbers or all-time numbers for more telling picture. Also what sort of list only shows 3 players lol??? Should be like HOTS showing top 100 or 200... I must not be that far behind, am thinking top 50 NA for sure.
I agree with darkarchon, considiring myself as a pretty solid arena player. (I go infinit). I noticed that priest is really good right now, it used to be a counter to mage and i think that idea is coming back. Palli can wreck but is not consistend enough. Warlock gained much more tools, was always a solid mid tier but slowy getting a little better, hunter still not strongest, but my last hunter run i got 12 wins, it's very good vs the slower tempo decks, so try pick it up. I also noticed that warrior became much worse. I used to almost have an 8 win avg. with warrior, but they expansion they didnt get that much love and i saw that in my arena scores, weapons are getting more rare. Rogue will stay good, tho i dint the jade theme sill help them much in arena. I didnt try druid yet but i think they will be buttom tier after this expansion.
I never play Warrior in Arena but they got crapped on this expansion which sends them back down to the bottom, a good Youtube watch is Adwcta the creator of HearthArena he did a whole analysis on what things should shape up to be. We both pretty much had the same estimates and speculation, that Warrior, Paladin and Druid are on the decline especially Druid i would comfortably say they are dead last. It's so hard to get swipes and wrath even tho they're common cards they get punished way to easily and have very limited or no board clear/powerful spell mechanics in a average draft.
It's crazy how no one is playing Priest still in MSG....I never really play priest myself but have started to since this expansion dropped and am dumpstering absolutely everyone...Insane class now...I think people stay away because it's a very high skill level hero it's very easy to make mistakes but for skilled top Arena players it's a dream come true. Am gonna take Priest over Mage almost every time.

Saying Priest is a top pick now piqued my interest. Any general reason why?
Everything Priest was missing before they now have every new common card they got is plain broken in Arena like Potion of Madness, Kabal Talonpriest and Kabal Songstealer plus the Tri-class cards like Kabal Courier is proving to be potent as well. My last Arena run i actually got Karakus of that and was offered Jaraxxus as well. The video link explains it rather well i think it's part 4 where he talks on Kabal and Priest...People haven't caught on yet just how ramped they are now...They easily contend with Rogue and Mage for top class.
And it's all the stuff they had before like Dark Cultist, Darkshire Alchemist, Museum Curator, Shadow word: Pain, you name it...They have so many insane tools..You get the board and never lose it again and you just out value them to death.
Pre MsG i had an average run of 5-3, but post MsG, I'm getting rektd. 4 runs so far 0-3 1-3 0-3 and 1-3. Feelsrealbadman.

Any idea about the class tire list now? most of my matches were very close. I'm particularly losing to goons.
