edit: I'm apparently wrong, stupid or delusional and have no idea how arena drafting works, so either share your bad arena draft options or move on, nothing to see here.
So I was drafting picks for a Druid arena today and was given the worst choice of cards I've had in recent memory for my final choice: Angry Chicken, Savagery or Grimscale Oracle. If i had Bite or something I could have taken Savagery, if I had Bluegill Warrior I may have taken Grimscale, but I had neither while having Shattered Sun Cleric and Wrath , so Chicken it was (hey I can dream right?).
What are some of the worst picks you've been offered in arena? What did you do? (and how did it turn out) Sorry I don't have a screenshot for mine, but feel free to share yours.
Savagery is really bad, but still much better than Angry Chicken.
Can't agree. With this the last pick and having no cards that boost my hero's attack, Savagery would be 1 mana for 1 minion damage provided I hero power first for two additional mana. I'd rather have the 1/1 token.
It let you choose between two rares and a common? Odd, I thought it was always three of the same rarity. I'd still choose Savagery though.
Exactly what I was about to post... This situation isn't possible, you sure that's what your picks were?
Pretty sure yeah. If you are right though, I guess it would have to have been Murloc Tidecaller in which case I clearly fucked up by not taking that over the chicken haha.
I had a Paladin draft about 3 days ago where I was forced to pick 3x Blessing of Might and one Noble Sacrifice. I tried about halfway through to push it into some kind of aggro build heavy on 2-drops, but you can imagine how well a halfway Shockadin deck without Divine Favor would do. I ended up going 2-3, with both final games pitted against Shamans with Turn 2 Stormforged Axes.
When Arena stabs you in the back, it really knows how to twist the knife.

Perhaps the Grimscale Oracle was a Murloc Tidecaller, or Coldlight Oracle.
Though if it was a Coldlight Oracle, that would have been the better pick by far.
Nothing like getting 3 awful common minions at 5+ mana.
There just aren't many worse feelings.
I'll be sure to track my terribad packs in runs, because lawd knows I get crap packs.
