Had some fun with control mage, loaded up with Arcane Explosion and Dalaran Aspirant, managed to pull +6 on aspirant and Fireballed face for 12 - boy that's FUN. Have to meet a Astral Communion druid, only had 4 battles so far, two went finetuning the deck (went down with Arcane Intellects and stuff), two were wins, one as hilarious as you could expect - two Counterspells counter two spells to face for lethal. Ihad 8HP and Arcanotron at my side, countered a Fireball and a Pyroblast. "The one who doesn't play Counterspell is getting Pyroblasted in the face." Probably would play more - it appears to require skill and netdecking doesn't (yet) help.
Somehow I find this brawl more rage-inducing than the previous one.
Yes, I get to build a deck, but every single of my moves can get completely destroyed by random hero power of my opponent.
It's not that it is unbalanced, it's just the feeling of being in control with custom deck vanishes in a second after another lucky hit of opponent's HP.

Random Random was definitely worse. If your opponent got a low cost high drop then you were screwed. I had some fun while playing but my opponent was definitely getting better hero powers than me.
My hero power actually won me the game by summoning Arcanotron while I was holding x2 Fireball
I only needed 1 extra point of damage. It was nice. It felt like RNG karma.
It's one of the greatest brawls for me so far. Even if you encounter a mindless power clicker, it's still great. I wish I recorded one of the matches last night, I played druid agains a warrior and had me at <10 health, while he was at >40 from turn 3 due to a slow/bad start from me. I think we played for at least 20 minutes, I can't even remember the number of turns we took, probably 20? He overdrew, went into fatigue, I got lucky (not gonna deny that) and finally won. Most entertaining, I don't think I even managed to survive this long with this much health difference.
By the way, it might be worth running Hungry Dragon, since there are two hero powers that you can't use when the opponent has no minions. Having my hero power 'locked' this way is the main frustrating thing about this brawl. All the other RNG-based things can be controlled or happen in the first turns anyway, but this one can completely screw you over.
This Brawl is a lot worse than it should have been. There is at least one hero power that is ridiculously overpowered (Pay 2 mana, draw a card and gain 1 mana crystal) and one hero power that is a ridiculously hard counter to three of the others (You summon X/1 minions? I kill them all and gain an equal number of 2/2 minions).

If the AoE one didn't exist, then the entire brawl would be face-hunters.
i was using this for a little. its pretty funny to see your opponent struggling to take care of your stealthed doom sayer and spaming +5 hero powers just hoping to get the kill one and it not coming out. though sadly druid has to once again make a tavern unfun with their astral plays.
The only hero power I wish wasn't in there, is Soul Harvest. "Gain a full mana crystal & draw a card".
I've had games where I've had the perfect opening; spending every turn ramping my druid (e.g. coin -> wild growth into innervate + nourish + wild growth).
Yet my opponent gets Soul Harvest 3 times in a row, keeping pace with my ramp, and simultaneously gaining tempo AND a 6 card advantage.
Card draw + ramp + 1 extra mana this turn is just FAR FAR too good.
Even if you took away the card draw, and made the granted mana crystal empty, it'd still be the most powerful hero power. It's THAT ridiculously OP.

I had a game where I lost because I was forced to draw cards in order to get the next hero power. And if it didn't draw a card it would almost be the worst power. Even as it is now, I don't think it's the most powerful. The one that summons a tron is. Look at it this way, if you got lousy hero powers with your god hand, apparently you didn't have the perfect opening. Both the hero power and the cards you have in your opening hand are RNG, you know.
What I like is that, unlike most RNG brawls, this one actually favors control. At least that's my experience so far. My control warrior with only a few big creatures and lots of removal (+2 Armorsmithsince they synergise well with a lot of the hero powers) is doing good work.
Early ysera's often won me the game, even though they were removed the very next turn. Also, did you know that when yout Kodorider gets pulled out of the deck when you use that hero power, inspire triggers immediately. Nice! Especially if that was the first hero power that turn.
Just had a pretty rage inducting game against druid.
So heres the situation.
Im at 15 health with 3 minions on the board and truesilver equipped, my opponent have 2 health and damaged 7/5 tron that do two dmg to the player that plays the card. It's basically over right? Hell no.
My opponent use his hero power that summon 1 minion from our decks and guess what? he get savage combatant from it and use his hero power over and over again and kills me...
I must say this brawl was disappointing. It was supposed to give you access to unique (and powerful) hero powers to make games more interesting, but instead it just turned into Inspire + spam your hero power. They really should have not made it so you are able to keep using multiple powers in the same turn.

Coldarra Drake does nothing this brawl. Maiden of the Lake, OTOH, is the best card in here. Poisoned Blade seems to be second best for rogue, otherwise Astral Communion rocks.

Blizzard could cure cancer with Tavern Brawl and these retards would still get salty and whine about it

And my little contribution to this brawl. Pretty fun to play!

Try this deck I made it to complete the shaman daily but it's doing pretty well

My druid opponent got really bs RNG in his favor.
He got the draw one and gain +1 mana crystal power twice and two wild growth. Piece of shit.
I actually quite liked this tavern brawl. It's well designed, fun, a bit of randomness but not too much.
Good on you Blizzard.
Well played...
15:1so far, with a very cheap deck (4:0 vs astral communion druids). i definitely agree that this brawl favors control type decks.

Golden Heroes: Druid -> Rogue -> Shaman -> Hunter -> Warlock
Maiden of the Lake is so win much wow
What if one day you woke up and Big Game Hunter and Hemet Nesingwary switched card texts...
