4th February update: Trying WILD Moonkin Druid for the first time... Emperor / Malygos fun! (1080p)
You asked for it! Here it is. Malygos Moonkin Druid. In the limited number of games I have played, I have had a lot of fun. Thanks to MalygosFanBoy for the deck - a detailed guide can be found here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/874090-moonkin-druid
0:12 The Priest getting a 24-24 minion on turn 4 made me sad... At this point I lost all hope and stopped playing Cubelock... and started playing Malygos Moonkin Druid :-)
8:10 The Hunter thought he was safe at 27 health :-)
14:44 Yes... keeping Vanishing my board. Keep letting me play the Emperor!!
17:47 Double Emperor has allowed for insane damage...
5th February update: WILD Reno Hunter - fun times with Seeping Oozeling & Toxic Arrow?! (1080p)
Reno Hunter. You guys asked for it! After a month of playing Cubelock, my initial confidence with the Reno Hunter deck was not high - but then... I played a few games, went on a streak and had a lot of fun! Thank you to Michael Deucalion from Reddit for this deck!
10th February update: FLAMEWAKER3053's WILD Meatwagon Hunter - Eggs vs Giants! (1080p)
After enjoying Reno Hunter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWw-nr7jMLM), I thought let's continue with Hunter. In this video, I feature Egg Hunter. A super fun deck which can get significant board presence early if you find a way to activate those eggs. I am not sure about Meat Wagon though - for the mana cost it doesn't seem great, unless you can combo it with Umbra. Hmm....
Spoilers: 0:30 When eggs do nothing. 0:54 When giants beat eggs. 4:55 Outpacing a Priest that plays Shadowboxer?? 10:20 Mind Control Tech?! Wow it's been a long time since I have seen that card! 14:02 When eggs beat giants! If you can do enough damage before they set up their giants, you win!
17th February update: Pflichtverteidiger's WILD Control Paladin - Acolyte vs Knife Jugglers :-) (1080p)
So the nerfs have hit... no more Patches! In response, I try something a little different. Control Paladin with Eadric the Pure! It feels great to play Sludge Belcher and Coghammer again... I was being rather conservative with my combo AOE cards, I guess I was being overly cautious. Oh, and one Acolyte of Pain vs two Knife Jugglers... fun times!
18th February update: Jonah Miles WILD Secrets Murloc Paladin: Anyfin wasn't even needed! (1080p)
'Who am I? None of your business!". Happy to be playing Mysterious Challenger again - through Secrets Murloc Paladin. Thanks to Jonah for the deck - spotted this on his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/jonahmileshs/status/962312699702054912). It turns out that in most games, Anyfin was not needed!
Spoilers:
7:19 A turn or two earlier, Anomalus would have been really bad for me!
13:40 Absolutely disgusting damage from my Murlocs putting the Priest to 1 health... only one particular AOE spell could save him!
15:36 Ignoring Juggler / Muster lethal.... so I can play Anyfin :-)
18:40 Unlucky Juggle... leads to a demon that isn't a Voidlord. I'll take that.
24th February Update: FirePaly's WILD Big Rogue - The most fun I have had in Hearthstone? (1080p)
Big Rogue. Dane brought this to everyone's attention. And then I discovered this version of the deck by a player called FirePaly. Any deck that uses Kel'Thuzad has my support. In this video, we get a board full of KTs! The poor Warrior tried multiple board clears, but nothing would work. This has to be the most fun I have had in Hearthstone for quite some time! If you have any feedback on this deck or any additional ideas, please comment below :-)
25th February update: Dane's WILD Big Rogue: Racing against Giants and winning with Chromaggus! (1080p)
After my last video, where I had so much fun with an army of Kel Thuzads (https://youtu.be/SJVIGBp5INE), I am continuing on with Big Rogue. Sure, the deck is quite situational. However, it's still so much fun! In this video, we compare FirePaly's Big Rogue from the previous video, with Dane's version of Big Rogue.
4th March update: Learning / Experimenting with Wild Reno Mage for 500 wins - Bullying Pirate Warriors (1080p)
This was a proud moment for me. 500 wins for golden Mage. I thought it would be cool to do it in style, with Reno Mage. I have always felt that Reno Mage has been slightly... underwhelming? underpowered? Too reactive? Too passive? I am searching for the right description... I guess, you spend too long waiting for your opponent to do things and then react accordingly. I guess 'defensive' is the word I was looking for. In this video, I look at two different decks - one with N'Zoth and one without. One deck has Echo of Medivh, and one doesn't.
15:20 Was this Nova/Doomsayer combo correct, just for the potential to remove a Steward of Darkshire? Not sure. Probably not.. but at this early stage, I was getting my head around playing the deck.
16:40 We recover with Dirty Rat which brings out Quartermaster. Happy days!
17:56 When Jaina arrives, you know that the Silver Hand Recruits stand no chance :-)
24:22 Do you see what I see? It's a pirate warrior! A rare sight :-)
25:43 Echo on Reno guarantees a win - and feels great against a Pirate Warrior.
26:30 Corridor Creeper? Someone forgot to tell the Warrior that the card was nerfed ;-)
27:52 I don't usually BM my opponents... but in this case, it is Pirate Warrior, so I will proceed to ping my own face for the remainder of the game and then play my second Reno.
34:25 Geist value seems decent against the Shaman - although I am aware that some players don't think Geist is worth it.
11th March update: Wild Malygos Druid with Alexstrasza - why is Aviana always late (1080p)
Malygos. Such a fun card to play. What's not to like? He is a dragon, he has that cool factor going for him with a great entrance. Smashing your opponent's face with spells is so satisfying. During the game, I made a few questionable plays - but that's my inexperience showing. What was important was the ending!
2:44 In an effort to counter Ragnaros being resurrected, I played both copies of Living Roots to get some board presence going. It didn't work out :-(
5:08 My desperation Swipe on a 2-2 didn't feel right - but I felt the need to add the 2-2 token to his Resurrection pool. This was either a very smart next level play or a misplay. It turns out it was not necessary... on the following turn (7:13), the Big Priest voluntarily killed off most of the 2-2s!!!
7:55 Spellstone gets played - I was expecting a board full of 2-2s to come back. I was disappointed :-(
9:53 Even with the Priest at 30 health, the last card in the deck wins it for me! Aviana + Alex + Malygos + Kun + one Moonfire + one Swipe :-)
12th March update: Wild Anyfin Murloc Paladin - Dirty Rat MVP! (1080p)
Over the last couple of months, I have played aggressive versions of Murloc Paladin. It's fun to go back to the slightly slower Anyfin version of Paladin - with Rag Lightlord. It turns out that Dirty Rat was my MVP in these games.
13th March update: Standard Oakheart Ripperlock with Rin - Azari value / Dirty Rat value (1080p)
Over the next week or two, I will be trying some interesting Standard decks. In this video, I showcase a Warlock deck with Rin, Oakheart and Voidripper. It is by no means a perfect deck... there are some synergies that don't work (e.g. the Warlock weapon bringing out a Voidripper without the battlecry). However, I see potential in the deck... This video features some cool moments with Dirty Rat, Azari and Voidripper!
1:15 Scroll of Wonders kills of Antonidas for the Quest Mage - no combo for you!! ;-)
11:10 Rat into Antondias = game over and a salty Mage...
26:21 A full board means Voidripper doesn't get summoned by the Warlock weapon... which means... we can play Voidripper with its natural battlecry! Combined with Shadowflame, it's a pretty sweet victory.
17th March update: BearCheese's Standard Big Hunter - Play Dead and Oozeling value! (1080p)
BearCheese's Big Hunter - a great deck to use between ranks 15 and 10. Most importantly, a very fun deck to play. This deck can produce an aggressive start with Secret Keeper. The mid game is great, if you can get Oozeling value early.
18th March update: Kibler's Dragon Recruit Warrior - big dragons, fun times! (1080p)
Playing decks with 'big' minions - I enjoyed playing 'Big Priest', 'Big Rogue' and 'Big Hunter'... so now... it's time for 'Big Warrior' - or rather Warrior with big dragons :-) The idea is to gain early control of the board using weapons / Brawls and then to play Gather Your Party to cheat out big threats. This isn't necessarily a 'tier 1' deck - but it is a fun deck!
23rd March update: Dane's WILD N'Zoth Hunter - Death by Leper Gnome? (1080p)
Once upon a time... N'Zoth Hunter was a great deck. Today? It's still decent. If you don't draw an early curve, beating aggro decks can be challenging. Thanks to Dane for this deck. I took out one copy of Tracking for an additional Explosive Trap.
0:24 Death by Leper Gnome feels good. 7:35 Turns out an poisonous owl is pretty good against a Voidlord! 9:40 Tarim = perfect counter to Explosive Trap. 12:16 Cube on Shredder is such insane value! 15:50 Oh only 2 Apprentices? No Tony? Such a shame.
Sometimes Reno is not even needed, if the deck can curve out well. At 8:02 I was happy to discard Reno - preferring to take a Belcher instead from Tracking. With N'Zoth in hand, I wanted to get deathrattle value.
Spoilers: 0:17 Always Silence :-( 0:52 Cube and Play Dead on Huffer...How am I supposed to beat that?! 13:00 N'Zoth #1 14:00 N'Zoth #2 14:40 N'Zoth #3 17:50 I don't know what this Priest deck is trying to do?? Can anyone shed any light on what their deck was trying to do?
Quest Mage makes an appearance on the ladder from time to time. Quest Mage with Arcane Giants is a rarity. Therefore, this deck caught my attention. Beyond the fun factor, there are advantages and disadvantages - in particular, you can struggle against Paladin and Druid. This deck comes from Blizzard's most recent off-meta deck spotlight (http://www.hearthpwn.com/news/5268-blizzards-off-meta-deck-spotlight-march-23-2018).
Hearthstone [STANDARD] Zetalot's Mind Burst Priest: Ranks 10 to 6 & fun times with Temporus! (1080p)
This deck took me from rank 10 to rank 6. It can deal with aggro decks due to the Duskbreakers and Greater Healing Potions. Against control decks, you play Alexstraza on one turn and then kill them with 20 damage on the following turn. Double Mindblast + Prophet Velen on one turn with the Coin. Oh and Temporus makes an appearance!
0:15 Stealing my Prophet Velen will do you no good!
8:25 Level Up puts me to 1 health, countered by Psychic Scream + Greater Healing Potion.
11:06 The next few turns were quite tense against Aggro Paladin. A board full of dudes vs my Alexstrasza, Anduin and double Mindblast... the ordering would be critical!
15:50 Who needs Velen when you have 16 damage?
21:27 Tapping is not a good idea... when I have double Mindblast in hand!
26:12 Temporus... the Fatigue Warrior gets two turns. He does nothing. I get two turns... and I find lethal. My first time playing Temporus. Incredible fun!
30th March update: Zetalot's Mind Blast Priest / Pebody's Velen Malygos Priest comparison (1080p)
Had some awesome feedback on my last video, which featured Zetalot's Mind Burst Priest. JNGamer who is a viewer on my channel suggested using Malygos and Prophet Velen. So I found Pebody's Big Priest with Malygos, Velen, Mindblasts and Holy Smites. In this video, I compare both decks.
31st March update: ADXE's Standard Murloc Paladin - Winning with Eye for an Eye at rank 4?! (1080p)
Eye for an Eye. Yes... someone actually fell for it and lost the game as a result. It was glorious! In this video, we showcase a cool Murloc Paladin deck on Standard mode. This deck took me from rank 5 to 4 with zero games lost. Not a big sample size... but still certainly an effective deck.
3:10 Will he play round Eye for an Eye? Of course not... they never do...
5:59 Who plays Holy Nova these days?! Not seen it played on ladder for ages!
10:27 No value on Call to Arms... turns out this deck doesn't even need Call to Arms to win. The power of Murlocs is too much!
11:10 The key to winning against the Big Priest was to prevent resurrection effects on taunts or lifesteal minions. It turns out silencing them was pretty key to implementing that strategy.
1st April update: 500 wins with Archbishop Benedictus Quest Priest! (1080p)
I asked you what you wanted me to play to get 500 wins with Priest. Someone said Archbishop Benedictus! So I said to myself... I will play this deck until I get a win. 3 games later, I managed it!! It is a solid deck certainly... but you can get overwhelmed by aggro decks.

8:25 Toxic Arrow doing work! I think this is a card that is often underestimated.
9:35 Remembering that I am not a face hunter, and keeping the charges intact on the Candleshot weapon was useful!
10:22 My opponent really hated Reno... he took quite the hammering!
16:24 Running a Pirate Rogue out of threats. The streak is real!!

Spoilers:

Spoilers:
9:23 Well that was unfortunate... Prophet Velen disappears...
12:44 A really cool lethal setup with Doomguard even though Velen was gone...
16:20 Shadow Essence into Barnes happens far too often...
17:25 So tempting to pull the trigger on Holy Smites... even though it isn't lethal.
18:03 Wasting a Greater Healing Potion on Malygos seems wrong but what else am I going to use it on...
18:18 Skulking Geist ruins my Holy Smite lethal potential.
20:40 One 20 damage Mindblast seals the game...

Spoilers:
3:10 Will he play round Eye for an Eye? Of course not... they never do...
5:59 Who plays Holy Nova these days?! Not seen it played on ladder for ages!
10:27 No value on Call to Arms... turns out this deck doesn't even need Call to Arms to win. The power of Murlocs is too much!
11:10 The key to winning against the Big Priest was to prevent resurrection effects on taunts or lifesteal minions. It turns out silencing them was pretty key to implementing that strategy.
11:47 Finally my win condition arrives.
