3rd May update: Dane's Shudderwock Shaman, ft. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate
My obsession with Shudderwock Shaman continues! This time, we try out Dane's deck. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate is a fascinating inclusion. This is a hard deck to pilot - knowing when to go off with the Spirit of the Frog is important. You can also end up drawing through your deck very very quickly.
Yogg is your win condition. Repeated Yogg battle-cries decides the outcome of the game. There is a very real possibility that you lose the game! This can be described as "hostage Shaman with RNG attached"! (Quote Frederick Vassar from Twitter!).
Please note - this is a fun deck, not a competitive deck!
7th May update: Poison's Reno Shudderwock Shaman ft. Mankrik and Bandersmosh!
What a fascinating take on Shudderwock Shaman. Mankrik and Bandersmosh are two key highlights of the deck. Lots of misplays from me in this video. But the point is, I had fun. Lots and lots of fun. I was also winning games. Thank you to the deck author (Poison).
Key lessons to be learnt by my opponents:
1) Jade Druid - play around Devolve, when your opponent has a full board? "You will wither and rot" was the last thing they said, before losing. They were not happy.
2) Big Priests - should always clear Flurgl! Never leave Flurgl on the board! The ability to replay Toxfins can be game winning for us.
30th May update: Boltzmann's WILD Totem Shaman, ft. Grand Totem Eys'or
Play totems. Buff the totems. Win the game! Fun times with a cool Boltzmann (https://twitter.com/boltzmann2718) deck. Sometimes counting lethals is hard. So please excuse the misplays ;-)
Boltzmann provided me with an awesome guide to playing the deck. That is covered in the first few minutes of the video. This deck feels different and unique in the current meta. Boltzmann is 13-0 with this deck!
5th June update: Boltzmann's Standard Control Shaman: ft. Mutanus, Al'Akir and C'Thun!
Thanks to Boltzmann (https://twitter.com/boltzmann2718) for this cool control Shaman deck. I am happy to play Standard for a short period, whilst waiting for Wild to settle. This also feels rather refreshing!
This is a work in progress for Boltzmann, with the potential to cut C'Thun and Malygos. The Al'Akir 22 damage burst combo should be enough to close out most games. However, you have plenty of other interesting combos / interactions too.
11th June update: SheikVII's WILD Secret Hunter: Traversing the Diamond ladder in style!
After the Wailing Caverns mini-set released, I tried the Wild ladder and went up against a Stealer of Souls Warlock. After that, I transferred to Standard. I wasn't sure how long I would stay away from Wild.
19th June update: Shudderwock Shaman: Navigating the Diamond Ladder vs Mages, Paladins & Warlocks!
5 wins and 2 losses with this Shudderwock Shaman deck, whilst traversing the diamond ladder. Any deck that can give me a positive win rate against Secrets Mage is a good deck in my opinion! The footage in the video was recorded before the Stealer of Souls ban went live.
20th June update: SheikVII's WILD Secrets Hunter: Final push to Legend!
Getting legend with Secrets Hunter? Fantastic. Footage was recorded on my iPad. Sorry that the quality is not great. However, I had to publish something to celebrate my journey to legend. Such a satisfying feeling getting legend with this deck.
