For an beginner developer, there are two paths: learn from the criticism and be your own harshest critic; or diss all your critics and keep doing the same things with fingers in your ears saying "lalala" (which is something you can legitimately do once you make a good product).
I hope you succeed, and it is nice to see that you are leaning how to do 3d models, and make small phone games. Sharing them for free is also nice, as it gives people a feel for your style and lets them know about you; however, they are clearly experimental, learning projects, and if anything they can be on your portfolio if you decide to seriously go into a game dev career.
But at 36 years of age, you just can't accuse your critics that they cannot develop better games than you, that's really childish and doesn't even make sense. Because I don't need to be a game developer to know if a game is good or just someone's early development project. I personally played lots of games, hundreds if not close to a thousand, from the 90s all the way to today's latest releases, and I have always been excited about indie games, regardless of platform.
I understand being a dev is hard. But until you offer something new or different from the market, people will have no reason to play some rudimentary games, even the mobile store has some good offers for free games. And you also mock people judging your work that YOU present on YOUR website and in YOUR videos. This also does not make sense. If you fail to market your product well enough, nobody will download your games. And the public will not just download anything, you have a few seconds to convince them they should try your game before moving on. At best, they will watch a bit of your trailer.
Also posting your games on a public forum opens them to judgment. If you are not prepared mentally for that, I recommend saving your work for family and friends until you are ready to share something unique with the world.

Sorry, but as I said before, you are not my target audience, people. Honestly, if you are going to be that harsh and negative, I really don't care what you have to say about my incredibly awesome video games. Thank you very much for your time anyways, have a nice day and good luck! :)
Dude, c'mon, do you have a fetish on Illidan or something? XD
Having said all that already, I just want to clarify I will continue uploading this thread with new stuff, so stay-tuned for my next releases, I promise you all will be amazed! :)
I'm obvious listening to your critics and I really love the Hearthstone community in general (I'm pretty sure you all know that already), but I will never accept to be treated this way by a few pedants (excuse me please if that is an insult, but honestly I couldn't find a better word to describe some of you) who don't even understand the concept of a teaser trailer and works in progress.
To the people who already watched my stuff and didn't come here to treat me like shit just for fun, I just honestly wanna thank you a lot for your time and patience.
If you are interested in some of my games but you are not convinced by the quality of the graphics so far, don't worry, I can make the final product look insanely much better in a blink by just adjusting the settings of the video game engine and some other little things (Universal Render Pipeline, shadows, shaders, etc.). Yeah, it is that easy, hehe, like incredibly easy. That is why I'm really not worried by the critics, but as I said I will not tolerate to be treated this way by pedants. It is my little secret, so don't tell anyone. ;)
I hope all of you are ok and having a good time, and yeah, you will totally love my stuff in the future, I promise!
Have a nice day, I wish you the best! Oh, and obviously good gaming! :)
Also, you've achieved more than I could ever do, even if they are basic, so congrats on that.
The only way from here on is up. Improve and maybe you'll release a lovely indie game in the next few years. At least i'm sure you'll do the monetization properly :D
So, are you telling me At the End of the Rainbow and Defending El Dorado look like basic games?
I didn't say that. I didn't play your games yet. Simply wanted to offer a different (more encouraging) perspective with respect to the previous opinions you received.
this guy dares ask if you have an obsession with illidan when he himself been posting tom hiddleston loki gifs for at least 5 years 💀
That's the joke! XD

Damn...
The only mental way to deal with Sherman is to tell him to piss off and just ignore him.
Most obviously he is always out begging for attention, since the day he created his profile it's the only thing I consistently observed him doing here.
I mean just look at his Post counter.
I can see why he is stuck developing nonsense "games" in his basement, Gaucha women have far higher standarts than that loser and in Argentina he faces some seriously talented male competition. ✌️
Well. My honest opinion is that yes, your games look a little too basic, like from 80s.
And wait a moment here, did you seriously say my games look like they are from the 80s? Are you for real? What?
Yes, sorry. I am for real. As I said before, I think that it is normal because I don't think that you have access to an incredible amount of resources. So, yes, the quality is so-and-so, and they seem quite old. Like everyone else, I can't compare your apps with the others on the market (which certainly cost more and with more developers) but the difference is visible. Honestly, seeing the site, I didn't want to play with them. I don't see the interest in playing a dragon dodge game or the cup game or an old beat 'em up. These things have already been seen and have already been done and dead. What is your value added?
Anyway, I think that you did a good exercise in exploring different things and now, probably, you can move forward. My best advice to you is to start with the points listed before:
1) With a good idea and something simple but innovative. Think about Candy Crush Saga
2) To review something old school and make it better or with new things. A better version of Tetris (I don’t know for example in 3D), or Bubble Bobble for example. Something that it is old, better if it is already missing for phone, and that people know it
3) If you don’t the previous ideas, you need a lot of money. So, you should prepare a concept instead, in order to present yourself to crowdfunding portals like Kickstarter - a pitch idea
Another advice that I can give you, especially if you decide for the 3 is to change your name. Game Dev Magician can be considered an arrogant name, especially if someone has to give you money to develop something. Why magician? Do you have apps with millions of downloads behind you? So, where is the magic? Why magician? What do you have more than others? I work with investors and I know how they think. With a name like that, if you don't have indisputable successes behind you, people will just think that you are an arrogant who cannot be trusted (because you will want to do as you please with other people's money), and they will never give you money. A name like magician could be considered too much even for a character like Elon Musk. And if there's nothing behind it, well, that's a problem.
A point that I did not understand is why only Android and not IOS. Because a reputable app is obviously on both.
As I said before, I don't want to be offensive, and I really hope for you the best. I gave you my sincere opinion and I think that is what you wanted since you posted your things here. The way to do what we like is always very hard, I studied 8 years in university without a payroll to do what I liked. Running after a passion is hard. You did a good start exercise. Try, try and try and don't give up.
I mean Bro's being a jerk, obviously, but he doesn't seem to be able to help that.
I think the rest of the comments were fairly constructive. It seems weird to be upset by Crusader and Shipmen in particular because they were clearly trying to be helpful and were broadly positive.
But you no longer want feedback on your upcoming games so this conversation is kind of over?
Good luck with your future projects, I'll be interested to see how they develop if you keep sharing stuff here.
Ok, ok, I'm sorry guys for my repetitive childish behavior in this thread. I thought it was kinda funny at first, but now I see it was not.
Sorry again, I will reply to all the constructive posts later. And thank you Joshbuckler in particular for your honest interest, it means a lot to me! :)

Jesus Christ, dude, you never have anything good to say.
Should I share and report the stupid treat you sent me weeks ago in Spanish through DM? I'm pretty you don't want that, so calm down once and for all.
Also, you've achieved more than I could ever do, even if they are basic, so congrats on that.

Yeah, now I see it clearly. I thought you were being sarcastic or something. I'm really sorry.
At the End of the Rainbow Demo Version 2.0 coming soon (with improved graphics, a new level, a new level boss, new features and some other noticeable changes).
The next two pictures show some of the graphics improvements I made thanks to the feedback I received here on this thread.

After the feedback:
I made these changes in just a few hours, so just imagine what I can do in a month or two. :P
I will reply later to Shipmen's post while explaining some little things you probably want to know about game development from my perspective as one.
Thank you very much to all my dear Hearthpwners, especially to those who are trying to help me here to improve as a video game developer!
I'll probably not update this thread with new stuff for a long time since I have a lot of work to do, but wanted to thank you again my dear Hearthpwners for pushing me so hard to be a much better game developer, I really appreciate it! :)

Hey. Cool man y not! Post away.
this. Community obviously needs more games to consider.
hopefully one day every hearthstone forum will be about “not hearthstone”.
I just wanted to share my stuff with you people, that's all, and I asked permission to xskarma first before doing so.
Is that a sin or something?
Hearthstone players aren't obviously my target audience, that's why I didn't develop a digital card game. -.-
But ok, I will continue with my stuff as if nothing happened here, ladies and gentlemen. Don't worry...
