they actually gave me hype for the expansion, i wasnt hyped before but mostly because i have been experimenting and having lots of fun with other games that i finally have time for playing, so i was like uh yeah harthstone, but after watching the videos i'm super hyped now.
It’s not that it kills hype, the irksome bit is that it fast tracks the exploration. Before the set is even launched so many decks have already been seen and playtested.
There is a small window in this game where people are actually being creative before every deck becomes a carbon copy of each other and dull, and these streams shorten that window.
I think it's good for Blizzard to show how the cards will really work, since we always get cards that are praised but really duds and the secret sleepers everyone dusted on day 1 and wail about for months. That being said, if your concern is about the meta being solved so easily I think the issue is the meta is just too simple.
The meta being solved too quickly is just a factor of the success of the game and the vast numbers that play it. I hope they make it a staple of the game that they go back and buff lacklustre cards from the previous expansion once the new meta starts to get stale. That was a truly great idea from Team5 and it should happen every expansion.
They not only released the cards in a slow procession over a few weeks, bu then they let us watch streamers and pros build decks and show how the new mechanics work before we got our hands on them.
So dead! Complete massacre of the hype

Hype is a corporate strategy designed to sell you products while bypassing your ability to critically evaluate their value. Kill the desire for hype within yourself.

Hmmm . . .
I respectfully suggest that the opposite is much more likely. A handful of streamers aren't exactly solving the meta-game, after all - most of them are just having fun, trying out lots of new decks. If a bunch of folks watch them play, they'll see all the cool new toys - instead of just playing Secret Hunter on day one, they're apt to try out whatever decks they enjoyed watching on stream. At any rate, that clearly seems to be the purpose of the streams - if there was a six-day GM tournament being held prior to release, then you might have a point regarding the meta-game. But there isn't. The GMs who are streaming seem to be playing as many fun decks as everyone else - Trump just posted a video of his match against Frozen's "Infinite Worthless Imp" deck . . .

Yeah, it kills the hype.. it is great when having early explorarion of decks, now a lot of people will start day 1 with decks on mind.. i guess i will avoid these streamers till then..
Anyone else thinks, that all those youtube videos from people which got early access to the new expansion, completly ruin the hype?
I personally watched every video of 2-3 hearthstone youtubers, but for now i will avoid them till 6.8,
Why is blizzard doing this?
No.
prepare to face the mighty millhouse manastorm
Disagree completely. The videos add to the excitement tremendously for me.
It literally does the exact opposite of killing hype.

If it kills the hype for you, choose not to watch.
If it gets you pumped, giver!

I do hate that as well and not watching streamers at all at this time.
First few days of each expansion used to be the best time for trying new things.. now streamers get all the fun we used to have..

exactly!
I feel reconciled with the world now !
This only shows that you have an addiction to HS and YouTube. If you have nothing better to do, then that's what's killing the hype for you.
