Sorry for the click-bate forum title, but since you're here - welcome!
My name is Megan Pearl, and I've been playing hearthstone for one year. It's not my first game but it is the first card game that I've taken a huge interest in. Normally I am a MMORPG player. I am a ranked hearthstone player who is pushing to reach my first legend this February. (The push comes from finally collecting enough cards to be competitive. )
Streaming is something that I've wanted to start for a while but I've always put it off. I might not get everything right (settings, layouts,) but that's where your feedback is invaluable to me!
I stream on the evenings everyday excluding saturdays!
I checked it out... i agree with Dahkss (the music is too loud compared to your voice, aka have to turn the volume way up to hear you but then the music is way too loud).
I tired to say "hi" but the channel was in follower only chat.. i generally like to chat for a bit first before i drop a follow. Maybe I'm weird that way? /shrug
I wanted to give you a suggestion (you used a card draw before Arcanologist when you needed cards and a secret, the opposite order would be better and you drawn a your last secret with that draw), but it's hard if I have to follow you. Why would I like to join your community (what I get as response if I write sth), if your community don't know me?
I'd advise less border stuff (wood etc) as the bit where hearthstone is is not particularly large. Also "you" are very small on screen and super bright (face lighting). It could be me in there and I wouldn't be able to tell. Music is still quite loud.
I understand. Consider this more as clickbate as the title and this was my first proper stream so i was rushed in advertising it. I take your advice on board and later (adter stream) I shall clean up my thread and include my brand more.
Seeing the keyword “GamerGirl” was my personal reason for clicking this thread. Not many hearthstone players are female and there are people who specifically would like to support and encourage more to join. So while the advice given to you prior is with good intention, I think having your name alone would not have attracted certain clicks.
Thank you! I realise it's a bit cliche and I don't intend that to be my only reason for people following but it is something that differentiates me from a lot of players at the beginning, as you said - it is a male dominated community.
Hopefully people will understand I am also a player who wants to improve/be taken seriously when they watch!
I think as long as a chat is well regulated you can hopefully manage the level of toxic and trolling that happens. But it's early days yet, lucky to even get a few comments now.
I'm actually designing a new layout something with less information on (and no extra picture,) to be honest the picture was there before my webcam came in the post! I'll put my social media links under the video in a new section on twitch also.
Probably won't stream until Saturday daytime/ Sunday evening until my new layout is finished.
At this point in your 'career' (30 viewers er broadcast), I feel subscriber mode for past videos is a bit over ambitious. You want to attract as many viewers as possible, not scare them away with a pay-wall.

I never noticed the twitch chat settings, I just set most of it up as it was recommended. So I will look into changing that!
I tweaked the sound. Hopefully it's a bit better now.

Yeah! I knew as soon as I'd done it I'd messed up the draw there. I changed the chat settings to include all, hopefully it's easier now!

My humble opinion. Good luck with your stream

I personally don't like the extra picture of you during the stream. just my 2 cents. seeing you twice creates some wierd cognitive dissonance for me.
Just my first impression. Going to check out a whole stream at a later time.
Thanks for the feedback.
