I dont think it will solve much. I was playing a Flarks Boom Cannon deck I made in casual. It's totally meme, but it had deathrattle synergies and a secret package. The guy I played added me and ranted on me for playing a meta deck in casual because I won with the spellstone and he never saw the boom cannon.
Count me in! I'll be playing some yoggwock/deathrattle rogue/ discOddLock/Curator Handbuffadin shenanigans. I look forward to hopefully maybe making a friend for once :)

I think there's a difference between what we're doing and blindly queueing into a random that saw only normal hunter cards and not the meme you were trying to pull off. Even so, if he complained because he saw a spellstone that sounds like 3yo saltrage which is hardly a standard example of the quality of person we'r trying to attract with this system.
With our system you would have real time contact with the person you're vsing both before and during the game. Presumably you entered the discord channel as well where you can voicechat them directly during the game (i'm working on adding a bunch of 1v1 game rooms for that). If you met that person in this way you'd have been able to tell him it was a cannon meme deck before during or after.
Im in but maybe i will need a little help with the power % calculation.. i can send a deck code before a match so you can review it if wanted .. Im on the EU server and battletag is Barnacle#2775 .. I have played since beginning but had a break from naxx and 2-3 expansions foward.. Im a F2P player and only thing i ever spend money on in HS was Naxxramas adventure .. Im typically around rank 15-10
new game modes....lolz I've been saying this for over two years. Blizzard keeps releasing crap like the puzzle bore-fest for a card back that after going through the lethal wing I was like wtf this is stupid...oh look here's a list of solutions so you don't have to waste your time. This is the garbage they spend time on because they really don't have to do much work because the frame is there for the adventure mode.
Do you know how easy it would be to implement a dust-cap mode, all golden deck mode, only classic cards mode, etc..... they are too lazy or dumb to do it. good luck with your endeavor!
We're not asking blizzard for anything. This is a user driven replacement for the Casual that should have been. All you have to do is add your tag to the list and you can join the discord.
Just wondering, but how is the tier thing supposed to work out? Like what is separating me from playing my patent-pending Un'goro Molten Blade OTK combo that takes an average of like 11 turns just waiting for the right weapon to appear along with having like 6-7 other cards in the combo, against someone who just wants to play a deck like Pogo rogue, which can be really competitive if curved out. LIke it always feels there is going to be some deck that is going to be unfair or whatever to play against. Is this a sort of "talk with everybody else to see if you can sort out a deck to play" type thing or is there going to be a list of decks that just flat up aren't allowed and the rest of it is all free game?
I love the idea, great way to take the initiative instead of just complaining about an issue only to try the exact same thing, get the same result, etc, but I just feel like it's lacking a bit of polish. That being said though, I'm all for trying it out.
I play on NA and my battletag is Echo#11883.
Edit: also, might want to make the link a permanent one since the current one you have on all this thread has expired.

This would be a problem if you were in actual casual where you can't control what you run into, but with this system you can. People have to get out of the mindset of what they are used to experiencing in the current 'queue and cross fingers' environment.
If you joined the discord and entered the main room you could find someone to take to a private 1v1 room with voice and text chat. You can then say "hey ive got a meme deck i wanna try out its around 60%" - other person says "oh yea ive got an aggro but its super budget around 50%, lets go".
You always know what you're getting into, unless of course the other person is a liar and smashes you with a tourney zoolock list in which case you screenshot and people will get to know the bad apples. They will be disinvited.
There's no specific list of decks that are not allowed save to say that if its power level is way up there (like a known top tier deck or extremely close) then these are not acceptable.
I'm not here to tell people precisely what the can and cannot do down to the letter - i've said before that we're all adults so let's be mature about it. I'm just trying to create a safe space where people can meme their hearts out or give their little F2P collection deck a real go.
Before more people post things like, "blizzard doesn't give a crap" please take a second to read what is actually going on here.
This is the start of a comunity for people who want to play, share and test creative and non 'mega meta WR' decks which is no longer a viable thing to do in Casual.
If you want in to this pool of players you simply write your battletag and join the discord where you can look for games with players with the same intention.
At no point is Maverick asking Blizzard for anything, he's just proposing a community. So basically if you don't want to join in, move on to the next forum thread..

BUMP
This is taking off nicely in discord. A nice little group is starting to form.
It would be fantastic if we can get this to grow enough for the mods to pin it so please tell your friends to join if they're interested.

It's cool but I dont think Blizzard gives a fuck
I think some people are missing the point.

I hope its cool that I can't join the discord, I play pretty much exclusively on mobile

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
You do realize rank 10 is way better than average in hearthstone right? Most people are 20.
