I have been playing on/off for 2 years but now I’m invested in getting better in the game! I have a decent collection of cards but I think my strategies are not the best!! I’m basically looking to get a good coach with experience
I could use the same. I’ve only started to try climbing the later since October. I got to rank 5 both months but I still feel like there’s common strategies that I don’t understand. Like when to trade instead of going face or if I hit a wall of aggro paladins, what deck should I switch to. I watch a lot of streams which is a hat got me to 5 but no matter what I tried I never broke into rank 4 even. And I’ve been playing since the first expansion.
Easy start to that is going to be identifying the type of deck it is in broad terms (aggro, control, midrange, hard counter, etc.) and work on adjusting your play to that style as best you can within your deck. So if you recognize the deck you are facing is even more aggro than yours, you may want to shift to a more control style of play to negate it.Try to start with the big, broad strokes first and then narrow
Best rank 1 full stars (than drop to rank 3) if you want, send me private message
Been there about 6 months ago. Did you get to play a legendary player? I did, unsurprisingly I lost, and this last couple of months have been horrid for me (currently rank 14... arrrgh!)
I'm also looking for a free coach. I have been playing for 2 years. My best rank was 10 with a Quest Warrior in Wild, but in the Standard format it was only 15 with Rattle Hunter and Rattle Rouge. My best arena win was 5, even though the average win is 2. My favourite classes are Druid, Hunter, Rouge and Warrior.
My card collection is enough suitable: I have Sylvanas, Ragnaros, Lich King, Patches, Aya, Cenarius, Fandral Staghelm, Kel'Thuzad, Deathwing, Malygos, N'Zoth, Yogg, DKs (Rexxar, Jaina, Malfurion), legendary weapons (Druid, Hunter, Warlock), quests (Warrior, Hunter) and so on.
Ok, anyone that has questions about the game or wants a teacher for free can add me: AndreiRO#21849
Level of experience: playing for more than 2 years and got Legend every month in the last year
The only issue is that I have an exam session right now so I'll be busier than usual. Anyway, I don't want to give full long lessons because they're boring and require a schedule. I prefer giving advice or having small sessions on Skype/ Discord where we can discuss the plays and deck choices

Tempted to add all these nice folks to my friends list but I won't. Easily the nicest thread I've read here in some time. Good luck, everyone and be kind to plebs like myself.
I've played for two years, 1 year FTP+adventures, 1 year pre-order expansions. I like collecting cards and I only disenchant duplicates and I like to build my own decks.
I read a lot about the inner mechanics (ie: tempo vs card advantage) when I got started and some of the decks I could craft were alright and some were crap.
I've since gotten a lot better at deck building, mostly from practice, but one resource that has been great is Firebat's 'Deck Doctor' series on omnislash on YouTube. There's a few weeks of KFT that feel like every episode is keleseth, scalebane, and bonemare, but there's exploration of a lot of deck archetypes and how to manage their weaknesses.
One other personal tip. At the end of every game, win or lose, ask 'what was the dead card in my hand?'

I can recognize what type of deck im playing pretty quick but im not sure i fully understand how to make an effective plan to counter it.
