The Communist Power Rangers is a relatively new E-sports organization, focused on bringing together skilled players and putting them into positions to be successful. With our active League of Legends roster, we're now looking to expand into other games. That's where Hearthstone comes in. The online card game's popularity has been on the rise with competitive demand following suit. Our goal in creating a Hearthstone division is to put together a roster of managers, coaches, tournament players and practice players. Here's some details for each position:
Tournament Players:
CPR Hearthstone Tournament players will be the players that are not only dedicating precious hours to practicing, but putting that practice to the test in actual tournament play. CPRHS players will have opportunities in the Zotac Cup, Go4 Series, and the MLG ladder. The weekly schedule will look something like this: Zotac Cup every Saturday at 3:00 PM PST, and Go4HS every Sunday at 3:00 PM PST. When not participating in these weekly tournaments, our tournament players will spend time practicing against fellow division members, further developing strategies and fine tuning deck lists.
Practice Players:
CPR Hearthstone Practice players are the individuals who for whatever reason cannot consistently attend tournaments. Whether it's work, school, family, there are always situations that could prevent competitive individuals from participating in events. Here at CPR, however, we don't feel like that should be a big set back. Practice players will be scheduled to play against both tournament players, and fellow practice players, to improve and enjoy. This, we hope, will create a well rounded competitive environment, where there are always practice partners available and players are always working towards improving. While practice players are labelled as such due to inability to play in tournaments, the opportunity is always there for them, whenever they see fit to take it.
