Well because they are actually not that good of pro players. We heard names like Strifecro and others since the very first World Championship and now everyone thinks they are good awesome whatever but in fact are just going with the meta by playing the decks everyone else plays (aggro shaman, zoolock and a random other deck). Now think about it who is actually going to the World Championships? People who are bringing the same decks as well some times but at least bringing some unique cards noone else brings into the tournament. That's why there is nothing like a pro player but good deckbuilders and bad deckbuilders. In fact this is just my thought
Just by not being mentally strong enough. You saw Inner almost losing in semi final, almost missing lethal. Why Was Bobby Fischer champion? Not just because he was extraordinary talent, but he did the work. He studied every possible book and kept himself in excellent physical condition, and not to forget the mind games. Imagine you just play game after game, and suddenly you are playing for your country everyone watching, not easy. If you are playing basketball say, and no one is passing you the ball, you are on the bench the last 5 min, mind as well go do something else where you can get xp points quicker.
Popular streamers are not necessarily Cristiano Ronaldo or Lio Messi of Hearthstone just because they are famous. Most of them as somebody said above just play the top tier decks and replace one or two cards.
What pussles me more is the extreme inconsistancy among the pros! I mean, people very rarely even get to the round-of-eight two times in a row. That is not the case in most other sports or e-sports.
Deckbuilding is also about luck, do the other actually bring what you targetted, or do they not? You can do everything right, and still be screwed because the meta was not what you expected it to be. Then there are draws and ingame rng on top of it...
After playing the first round it is a lot like rock paper scissors. You played rock last time, do you play it again or play paper? Who blinks first? Who can read who? Different tournaments different rules
Just because a player isn't extremely popular doesn't mean they aren't good. Have you even given anything to the thought that *gasp* maybe they're actually really good at the game?!?! *sarcasm* How could that even be possible? Someone can be good at the game and yet not be extremely well known? Perish the thought! Why, only popular streamers and the like can be good at the game, if you aren't a streamer you aren't allowed to win tournaments. *sarcasm*
Not everyone can win - same with other sports. There are thousands of pro's of all sports who have never 'won' anything - league, trophy etc, HS is no different.

Just remember the good times!

I don't vote since:
1) Popular does not equal good
2) Who are these so called pro (in the title) but only popular (in the thread) that don't win tournaments?
3) Could it be that other pro players win?
4) Does a hearthstone player have to stream to be good? I mean that is how you get popular.
4) And this is my favorite: Or is it because hearthstone is a young game and the pro tournament scene has not settled yet?

Kripp is a "pro player". He rarely gets to legend in seasons.
Playing since 1 June 2014.

I wouldn't call Kripp a pro Hearthstone player. At all.
He streams Hearthstone sometimes but I hardly see him at tournaments or on the ladder.
He's a pro arena player, so maybe that's why. He rarely plays ladder, and if he does he usually tries gimmick or fun decks, not from 1st tier.
I think he's a pro player.
