I'm really sorry, but I have to ask this noob question because it's been really bugging my mind. How common is it to play professional players on the ladder? I recently won a ranked game against a player named Noxious (we were both rank 7) and first thought it was just someone who had the same username. But the idea of playing against THE Noxious really messed around with me. Of course he is better than ranked 7 (and me), but I was just wondering how likely it is that I actually played him. Thanks a lot guys and sorry again for the silly question.
Easiest way to be sure would be to try find him versing you in his twitch archives, that's assuming he was streaming at the time.
I wouldn't think rank 7 is out of the question for Noxious however. He tends to play stupid decks a lot and doesn't take ranking up particularly seriously. But you can probably check roughly what rank he was using the archives to see it was rank 7 or close to it around the time you played this match.
Was probably him, like previously said he likes to mess around. Plays casual alot too, I am actually unsure if he has ever reached legend, think he was 2 stars away and then lost 14 games in a row or something silly. Just a really popular streamer because of his antics and humour but yeah not to stressed about rank
Well it's totally possible to beat popular streamers, they may have a better decision making but there are always counter decks so sometimes there's nothing much they really can do. Also the RNG factor means even the best player does not always win.

I don't think he was streaming, but I'll definitely try to watch his earlier videos. Thanks for the response Wooofles!

@flexr, true. although I'm not really sure priest is really a counter deck to druid lol, but I admit RNG was a factor that game.
I've played Eggy, ChanmanV, Trump, and Reynad.
