Entomb is a pretty good card (in terms of pure tempo it's a Polymorphfor 6, never forget Kappa) that finally allows priest to beat some control decks, nothing more, stop whining about it.
In terms of pure tempo it is both the Polymorph and the Lesser Fireball to kill the sheep for 6. So same price.
Notice how neither freeze mage nor tempo mage commonly run polymorph when it even has the option to be a higher tempo play than entomb. Entomb is a good, but not great card. The fact that it is leading the OP card voting is absolute nonsense (I only run 1 copy right now with all the aggro running amuk).
Both entomb and polymorph are terrible tempo cards actually. That's why you only run them in decks that are value and not tempo based, like control priest and grinder mage. The ability to remove a key minion from the game, along with any sort of deathrattle effects it might have had is very powerful when the game goes to fatigue. Dragon priest is sort of a halfway point between a midrange and an outright control deck, which is probably why they mostly run only one copy.
I run heavy control priest lol. And polymorph isn't all that bad tempo-wise. If you pay 4 mana and kill off a 5 mana belcher, that's positive tempo.
Yes, but that's a pretty niche situation and tempo mage(and other mage decks that actually care about tempo, like mech mage) already has access to fireball, which can deal with belchers nearly as well with the added benefit that it's not completely useless when your opponent doesn't play a card you have to deal with, as you can just throw it at their face to finish them off. Maybe a better way to look at it is that poly isn't really a bad tempo card, it's just that you would rather put other stuff in decks that care about tempo.
Entomb on the other hand is just horrible tempo wise. 6 mana to remove a minion from play messes up your mana curve severely and that is why dragon priest(the only priest deck that cares about tempo) only runs one for dire emergencies like tirion.

lol. This manner of thinking is wrong. You can just chose to ignore the 1/1 and play an other card for 2. You can playPolymorph on turn (3-)4, you can't play Entomb on turn (3-)4. People thinking in pure mathematics terms will never understand anything about card games.
While I've always thought of Entomb as a great card
Yeah i dont understand Entomb too... Its basically 6 mana hard removal similar to siphon soul, but slightly better, with no effect triggered, allowing you to play the card entombed later, which is only good against control. There are much cheaper SWD and SWP. But no mention of lightbomb? Basically 6 mana wipe opponents board card, how entomb is better?
^ You can treat it like having extra SW:D that silences deathrattles. So now you can run 3 or 4 SW:D.Anyway I agree Lightbomb should be on the list, I am always worried about Lightbomb while facing Priest. One of the strongest cards in the game , on par with Sylvanas Windrunner.
Anyfin Can Happen may not be a well-rounded card that can be played in every paladin decks, but he is the most OP card for Paladin, completely wrecks control decks without bursts. Tirion Fordring is overrated. When I think of adding silence to my control decks it is because of Sylvanas Windrunner not Tirion Fordring or Mad Scientist.
Divine Favor should be on that list, that card can give the paladin so much card advantage on the match up he is supposed to be weak that is against control
IMO other classes are debateable but for druid its clearly Innervate, anyone who says otherwise probably dont understand the power of this card and blames the druids finishers for losing against them.
IMO it's not so much about the power the card has on average, but the fact that when played at the right times it can win games on turn one or two.

I completely agree. I actually think Innervate and Keeper of the Grove are the two most powerful Druid cards bar none, and are among the most powerful cards in the game. I think they're just not on this list because they don't feel as oppressive to play against.
I do not understand Mysterious Challenger being up there. Does no one know how to deal with it on a empty board? I say it is fairly easy, Its just Paladins early game that makes Challenger that good.
Also don't understand Entomb. It is only good aganist control decks and is horrible aganist aggro.
I feel to make a card good is make playable in many archtypes except maybe combo decks.

yeah dude, if its text was: “Silence and destroy all your other minions. Put one of each Secret from your deck into the battlefield.”, we would not complain that much. But it isn't so it's effectively the most powerful card in the Paladin's set and obviously in the whole game. If you simply compare a very good card, Savannah Highmane (Deathrattle) and the simple fact of putting Noble Sacrifice+Redemption into play as a battlecry with a body of 6/6, you'll understand its level of power. Being BGHable isn't a good reason for saying it's easy to handle. Moreover, if you BGH it, you'll only be able to play a 3 mana cost minion, and you'll be crushed by whatever follows (best case Shredder/Divine favor => Dr 8 worst : Dr7 => Dr8) ;)

Yeah... it's not that good on an empty board. Few cards are that good on an empty board. It's the fact that if you have a decent board before you play it (which Paladins excel at achieving) you just instantly win the game.

If it is one of the most powerful cards in the Paladin set and whole game why isn't it run in all Paladin decks? I actually feel that if Savannah Highmane wasn't arround there would be no Midrange Hunter. I feel that maybe it is around the same power level. There are many other ways to deal with it beside BGH as well, such as aldor, sap, shield slam/ execute/ hex and much more.
Also why would you complain about Mysterious Challenger at all if it destroyed your own board? I feel the deck wouldn't even be viable since the whole point of the deck is to get board control before turn 6 and then play challenger to seal the deal.

(read the posts i wrote before the release, or notice that i created a topic named "Entomb Priest" before its release http://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/class-discussion/priest/84518-help-entomb-priest) — a period during which people were saying "olol its so bad its a priest recycle omg it will never see a play"
I'm really upset by the hype and all the salt about the card.

This mighBe an unpopular opinion but i think wild growth is better than innervate

These polls only reveal one thing: the ignorance of the OP
