As the title says I would like anyone to help me find a good counter to these decks I lose against in ranked. I have hearthstone deck tracker installed but I just can't think straight and I'm afraid I might drop from my rank if I make the wrong move (I'm too clumsy tbh). Started this season at rank 17 since I got to rank 3 last season, used zoolock first to get to rank 14, that's when I installed deck-tracker for the first time and started playing renolock to 10. From 10-8 I am and still using secret paladin but stuck at 8 :(
I'm a F2P (started playing just after naxx) but I have good decks( I think so anyways) and also a constant rank 5-3 but trying to push legend again this season after so many attempts and failures. I have these decks; zoolock, face shaman, renolock, tempo mage, mech mage, face hunter, midrange hunter, raptor rogue, midrange paladin, secret paladin, grim patron and ofc all the adventures. Please help, currently rank 8 and about to drop.
I used Mid range pally with a few secrets this season to get to legend (basically I use 2x Avenge,1x Competetive spirit and don't even run mysterious challenger) .It fairs pretty well against the other decks out there including most aggro and control decks.
Just play as many games as possible you will eventually get there. If you keep loosing you probably are doing something wrong, new players tend to make misplays and mistakes in mulligan and when to use key-cards ( although the learning curve for secret pally is extremely low) so I advise you to watch some streamers play secret pally or read up a guide.(if you are on a loosing streak for 5+ games in a row take a break.. trust me it will help you) Good luck
Well I soon as I begin to get my second win-streak to the next rank some guys shows up and stops me. From there I keep losing until I'm about to drop then I get back up only to begin the cycle.
The main issue is, you can theorycraft the counter all you want, there is no guarantee you will meet those decks one you "teched" against them.
for some weird reason I just went against 11 tempo mages mages out of 15 games with my midrange pally and I'm having a pretty bad time with them. Changing deck is however not the solution, because I'd bet that's the point where I won't encounter mages at all.
It's one of the issues of the HS meta, although there are trends, on an individual level they are irrelevant. There is zero guarantee the decks you will meet will be even marginally representative of the meta during your play session.
Your worst record is 50/50 with hunter/warrior while overall winrate with your pally is around 60%. Don't know where's the problem there.
I believe teching is a minor issue than the grind. You're bound to reach rank 5 anyways with pallies with winstreak. Losing ranks along the way to rank 5 is nothing hard to get back
I don't see why you would even care about grim patron warriors and hunters. You face FAR more warlocks, druids, mages, and paladins. As it is, those take up 64% of your games. Thus if you can ROCK those, who cares about losing to the rest.
And with THAT, your paladin deck is 2 to 1 vs druid, 5 to 3 vs mage, 2 to 1 vs paladin and about even with warlock. It has a 64% win rate overall, including the horrible showings with hunter and warrior.
Why the #()$# do you need to care about a matchup you rarely see? Let the hunters and warriors have their fun. Stick to your paladin.
From there, it's just a matter of grinding and dealing with tilt. The whol e'I lose a game then mass lose' MIGHT be Tilt affecting you. If you find yourself emotionally pained because of your losses, then you need to take a break, since that emotional mess might be causing you to mess up your other games, resulting in the downward spiral. It's VERY easy to mess up and not realize it in this game: make mistakes you never see even after the game ends. Thus always take note of your emotional state. Try to find music that keeps you calm and keeps the games enjoyable. Focus less on your rank and more on just each game standalone. That sort of thing. Otherwise, just keep going and taking tabs to make sure that the classes you see most are the classes you do well in, and that you rbad matchups remain small and insignificant.

hmm, ok ty everyone. Just got to rank 7 now after trying so hard and now stuck again :P
Hunters and warriors are becoming a bigger pain. How do I defeat Grim Patron Warriors?
