Why is Druid Savage roar combo still a thing? Its such a cheap combo and finisher. Some people like a good challenge not just getting bum rushed by little minions powered up by 2 savage roars.
And before you say "stop whining" please tell me what you have done to stop it.
heals and taunts, loatheb, also inb4 link to salty thread
that is such a weak argument though - loatheb lasts for one turn and last I checked you can only heal using priest class mostly. Taunts come and go with their other spells.
Savage roar is too op and should only be an effect on one random minion + your hero not all of them.
1. Dominate the game so thoroughly you stay above 14 health and keep the board clean. I've certainly done this plenty of times.
2. Crush druid before turn 8/10 where roar tends to go off.
3. Keep enough taunt on board they can't bust through it.
One funky thing is the classes that have some counter cards (hunter and mage traps) tend to do pretty well against druid without using them for that purpose.

Huh? Thats usually not what people complain about when they talk about Savage Roar. The most common complaint is about its synergy with Force of Nature.
In your case I'm assuming you play a face deck and don't trade to remove the "little minions". Solution: trade/remove.
If Blizzard changed EVERY combo, strategy or card simply because "oh it killed me a few times" then the game would be no fun and only those who fear a challenge would play it. I mean sure, the Savage Roar combo is insane. Burst Damage is just a part of the game that can quickly turn the tide of battle.
If you've played since beta, and are complaining about this it is quite sad. All that experience, and still being pitiful at the game.
Atleast I have some class...
I was asking for advice against it not your smarmy comments.
My least played/fav class is Druid so yes I dont know much about it except when I face the savage roar combo.
Try playing it for a change, then you will know where the pinch point is.
The problem with players who can't deal with FoN+SR effectively is that they ALWAYS assume their opponent has it on turn 9. Track their cards, read their plays, and decide for yourself whether they are actually holding the combo or not. 80% of the time noth FoN and SR is not in the starting hand, because a Druid ALWAYS mulligan both away.
Play around it =/= assume your opponent has it. If you track his hand, you will notice that playing around it is so easy that you can ignore the combo most of the time. It also helps you time your taunts, your trades, and your loatheb.
ok, I am goona be a little more elaborate, sorry for overstimating your intelligence.
Heals, specially Healbot can put you out of their combo reach, not the best answer to that play, but it can work if you keep their board clean.
Taunts, the strongest play against combo, because they have to waste too much combo damage to clean or get throught, belcher or sunwalker are one of the strongest taunts against the combo, even bolf ramshield, anything that can substract value from their combo. The thing is, you have to save it as a counter, like you save owl to silence Tirion, is something similar, your save your taunt to stop the combo.
Loatheb, as I mentioned before, you save it for their turn 9, if you are playing since beta then I assume you can predict several plays, specially the FoN+SR combo, a good timed Loatheb can ruin any class day, speciall spell heavy class such as druid, mage, priest, rogue and even stop a warrior's brawl!
It's a matter of preddicting, paying attention, reading your opponent and concentration, if you don't find this useful then you are finding excuses to be salty or trolling, cheers!

same could be said about mage double fireballs that bypass taunts

OMFG... are you serious??
There seem two ways to beat roar.
1. Dominate the game so thoroughly you stay above 14 health and keep the board clean. I've certainly done this plenty of times.
2. Crush druid before turn 8/10 where roar tends to go off.
3. Keep enough taunt on board they can't bust through it.

Why not use that to your advantage?
