Just played a game where I ran into a weird sequencing/logic behaviour.
It goes as follows :
I have a Deathlord on the board. My opponent has an Auchenai Soulpriest on, and on his turn plays Crazed Alchemist on my Deathlord, effectively making it an 8-2.
He then proceeds with killing it by using his Hero Power for 2 damage. The weird behaviour then occurs. He pulls Confessor Paletress out of his deck (from my Deathlord's deathrattle).
And the Confessor's Inspire triggers ... Is this at all intended ? I mean, she wasn't even on board when he used his Hero Power, and he had to use it to kill my Deathlor (effectively meaning that the HP's effect "resolved" and is now off), so doesn't it make any sense that the Inspire triggers at all ?
Thanks for the reply. Must be, although I really can't see how this makes any sense ... This game needs a proper sequencing model that's documented somewhere ...
The physical code in Hearthstone for Inspire triggers AFTER all other codes have finished checking. So it uses hero power and in that function, the "Check for Inspire" code is listed there, but doesn't happen yet. The function of the HP goes off, resolves, and gets interrupted by Deathrattle, then after that is done, it resumes the 'ending' of the Hero Power funciton, which includes inspire.

Please help me see through this, thanks all :)
I think it's the same as the Sacred Trial Dr. Boom bullshit, where now deathrattle first summons Confessor, and after that he's HP is considered used.

Oh yeah, easier to figure from a code perspective, thanks !

Control + F to "Search" the webpage. Type Inspire. It's also a good read overall if you're into comprehensive rules like me. :)
