..at rank 14. Who knows, it may have actually been him. It's early in the month and he was playing Golden Oil Rogue, (not all the cards, the Hero portrait), with the basic card back.
It was a fun game. I was playing my Dragon Jackson deck;
I healed for 36 that game, ended up at 27 health with 6 cards in hand when he conceded. What finally did it was Brann enabling my Blackwing Corruptor to kill his 6/6 Van Cleef. He was out of threats and damage.
Maybe he was streaming and I'll be able to see if it was actually him. Either way, it was a great game, and Dragon Pally, (with certain LoE cards), seems kinda viable.
Congratz ! But it will be more worthit if you've became seasons rank 1, beating him isn't enough for you to be invited in tournaments..maybe thousands of people already beaten him up before you.

He was streaming and he was rank 14 not too long ago. Just check the vods if it were you.
Never heard of this "Firebat" guy before and... I'm sure there are at least a few Firebat named players across the Blizzard games.
Also, I have won against a lot "legendary card back" players so they're not as "legendary" you might think.
They probably don't care about their matches if it's below rank 1. I never really care about my matches if they are low-level. I just watch youtube and tab back in once in a while.

Guys, he's doing deckdoctor. It probably was him, since his rank 14 and all, but the thing with deckdocktor is that everyone can send there aweful, experimental decks to him to try out on ladder. Then he come with certain recomandation after trying them out.

I mainly face them in the arena as I'm good in that. Plus I have yet to bother get past rank 5 in the ladder as it's where the real grind hits.
I'm just pointing out that they're very much beatable. You would need tons of matches to see any relevant data of someone's skill.
This is a card game, there is some luck involved and mix of cards you draw.
Anyone here would beat a pro at some point. Nobody can have a 100% win rate.
And ya, prolly not the real Firebat. I've played Trump and Kripp in arena... or did I? I bet not (and this was over a year ago when the player base was much smaller)
I just checked Firebat's last broadcast on Twitch, and yep, it was him. It's the second game after starting the stream, before the deckdoctoring started.

Anyway, here's a link to a couple screenshots I took:

So, you're new world champion now?
Dont get too excited, it's a common name and it's not unusual that players take names from their favorite players.
Even Firebat himself took his name from another player named Firebat that he liked.
Ostkaka is new world champ FailFish
Don't mind me just thinking about life and how people can overrate people who are a bit known.
Just remember the good times!

Guys, settle down. I never said that I was better than him, or even that I could beat him again.
It's just fun thinking that it's possible I ran into the former world champ randomly on the ladder, and won with a deck that's not exactly popular. :)
Firebat is a character in Starcarft so it's very common. However hope it was him :)

ofc pro players can lose lol
esp on ladder where you can't really build a deck that counters everything.
