one of the worsts meta, full of uninteractive decks, dh is simply broken, rez priest theres nothing to say, face huntard neither, galakrond rogue full of crazy rng turns, no fun allowed here, say goodbye to combo and control decks, i will miss them, the meta is just extremely tempo/aggro or extremely value/rng, quit incoming for me
I threw together a "Highlander/Dragon Paladin" deck for fun, Sir Finley, Zeph and DQ Alex included of course,
first casual game against a Highlander Mage, Ended up winning with Scalerider i think it was? "Do 3 damage if youre holding a dragon" whatever it is/was and their board full of DQ Alex and their free dragons right as i put mine down. FOr a crappy random deck i tossed together worked pretty well although i think they got wayyyy too overconfident in the mid game. Feels good to bait out a DQ Alex to give them confidence just to end it next turn (thank you RNGjesus)
Win or lose, lengthy Control matches are probably my favorite thing about card games. Just got out of a 22 minute Priest Mirror in which I put my Highlander Priest to the test against a Resurrection Priest. Talk about a series of things going right for me! Some points worth touching on:
1. I cannot say it was the "right" play as I didn't know my opponent's hand, but they felt it was necessary to use a 'Psyche Split' on my 'Aeon Reaver.' I assume they didn't have any potential answers in hand and the train of thought was that pressure was mounting against them (I also had a 'Sandhoof Waterbear' on board).
2. Despite me going through a 'Khartut Defender' and it's Reborn form they whiffed with 'Psychopmp' and brought back the slain 'Aeon Reaver' they got through the 'Psyche Split' in Point 1.
3. They later dropped a 'Convincing Infiltrator' and added a 'Grave Rune' onto it. Despite my board advantage of 'Twilight Drake', 'Dragonmaw Sentinel' and a 'Khartut Defender' I was not about to start adding several Infiltrators to his graveyard so I decided to sacrifice my board with a 'Plague of Death'.
4. A few turns later, they send 'Archmage Vargoth' to the board and pair it with another 'Grave Rune' and then a 'Shadowy Figure'. I begin my turn staring at 2 Vargoths. Used 'Natalie Seline' and 2 Vargoth's became 6 and through a pair of 'Chronobreakers' I had on board I was able to to remove all but one of them. They countered by using 'Plague of Death' on my 2 'Chronobreakers' and "Natalie Seline' and lost the remaining Vargoth.
5. A few non-noteworthy turns and they drop their second 'Psychopomp'. Despite having quite a few beneficial minions in the Graveyard, it ONCE AGAIN WHIFFS and get that damn 'Aeon Reaver' back. No boards last more than a turn though as we both continue to clear things.
6. A few turns later, they play 'Catrina Muerte'. Any guesses what come back? If you guessed 'Aeon Reaver', you would be correct!
7. A few turns later and all board clears gone. My board consists of a silenced 'Tirion', a 'Cleric of Scales', a 'Sandhoof Waterbearer' and a 'Sethekk Veilweaver'. My opponent's board is empty and they sit at 20 health. They play 'Mass Resurrection' and despite getting a 'Vargoth' back and getting a full board there isn't a single taunt sitting between my minions and my opponent's face.
8. Despite me having 4 minions on board and a clear path to my opponent, I only can account for 14 damage. I'm initially thinking of clearing my opponent's board as I believe I can win this in the long haul but then I remember a feature of "Kronx Dragonhoof' that I've never used. I drop Kronx onto the board, select 'Domination' and I swing for lethal.
I'm playing secret gala rogue, my opponent is playing spell druid, he wastes Kael'Thas and floods the board with fireflies, I manage to clear Kael'thas and play galakrond, I draw Shield of Galakrond and Bamboozle, I play both and my opponent then attacks into my minion that transforms into Tirion, instaconcede.
I just managed to kill a res priest while playing spell druid. They had on curve holy nova into next turn holy nova for my 2 'big' early boards. They used mass resurrection twice in the game, first hitting 2 khartut defenders and second time hitting 3. On the second mass resurrection I managed to kill all 3 khartut defenders and then swing face for exactly 30 damage :)

No friends that play Hearthstone so I'll share this here. While this is probably a small milestone for most, I just took Highlander Priest to Diamond 10. Considering how long the games tend to go and my limited availability, I'm pretty happy with reaching Diamond.
I just opened 10 DoD packs: got 3 legendaries, 2 of which golden (Ancharr and Goru - the non-golden is Chenvaala) :)))))))))) Expected was 0.5 legendary total....
3 days ago i bought 40 outland packs. Out of those i only got 1 legendary which was Akama. Fast forward to yesterday, i get my packs from reaching legend for the month, and the second to last pack has Zixor in. Today, after gathering 100g from wins and quest i opened one pack to get this
I absolutely loved that bird ever since wc3!!! I know it is not very good at the moment, but i still love it.
Rogue at 13hp (+1 Armor), he played DQ Alex the turn before (from Draconic Lackey, of course), than full invoked Gala into Kronx, buffing his board, clearing my board except my DQ Alex (big mistake), hitting me for 20.
I really like the new ladder-system in contrast to other people opinions. You play in your own mmr environment and can climb the ranks fast with your bonus stars. Also, I think in the long run, its good for new players because they don't get crushed anymore from returning players in rank 20 bronze.
They had a 7/6 questing adventurer out and I had no answers. Throw down a priestess of fury (dirty dh player I know but Im bad at this game) and all 6 hit it.
I was feeling salty after I lost 3 in a row to Demon "Piece of shit" hunter (obviously still a little salty) but then I played casual with evolve shaman and this happened. Me and the boys
In the past 24 hours I've matched against two different Highlander Demon Hunters. In today's world, neither were able to out-value a Highlander Priest but the match-up was refreshing and I look forward to seeing the deck get refined over the course of the year.
Played against a shudderwock shaman who managed to play 3 loatheb before his shudder against my combo druid. I think it really pissed him off when after using shudder I used aviana into kun into ysiel and maly for lethal and still had all my spells reduced to one. I know it'd piss me off like hell if I were in his shoes but it was satisfying.

Diehard druid player ^~^
Check out my theorycrafted Blistering Rot
Same experience here: Spell Druid vs Res Priest. He went Convincing Infiltrator, then Catrina Muerte into Convincing Infiltrator, Psychopomp into Convincing Infiltrator into Grave Rune, Mass Resurrection bringing back 1 Convincing Infiltrator and 1 Catrina Muerte who brought another Convincing Infiltrator, at some point another Grave Rune on a Convincing Infiltrator.
In the meantime I created 3 boards from Exotic Mountseller (she survived after creating the first board) and I was lucky to generate Zixor, Apex Predator 3 times, 2 more boards of Glowflies, 1 board of Treants from a deathrattle I gave to Glowflies, 3 more boards by playing the Zixor Prime that i drew eventually and in the end when I cast my Force of Nature (while already receiving 4 fatigue damage), he only had one Khartut Defender left which was not enough after I buffed my Treants with a Savage Roar (one of the 3 cards left on my hand)
What a stressful fight! It was so satisfying to win at the end. Opponent didn't appreciate it though and roped at the end:)
I cast The Forest's Aid at the end not Force of Nature, sorry

I played Sethekk into Apotheosis on Alex, into Power Infusion, into Inner Fire - hitting him for 17. Thank you RNGesus!
