I played a game two days ago on my Alexstraza Control Priest against a Quest Hakkar Priest. I had the game locked down by turn 11, opponent was at 10 health and I was sitting with a lethal in hand - a Mind Blast and a Shadow Visions with just 4 spells in my deck, so a good chance to get a second Mind Blast. He/she had a 5/5 Obsidian Statue which I stupidly traded into with a Scaleworm, healing him/her for 5. And then I had 4 damage on board and 10 damage in hand.
That was the moment I thought the game was over, but I didn't feel like conceding. I was way too angry with myself to concede a game which I could have won, and didn't want to give my opponent the satisfaction. So I stuck on for nearly 20 more turns, slowed my game down to a snail's pace, without drawing more than my start of turn card, while my opponent drew slightly faster for the combo. I hung on, using Alexstraza to heal myself, hero power healing myself at every turn, saving Anduin for an Amara kill, and finally he/she died to the Corrupted Blood "combo".
I turned one of the best games I've played as a control priest to the worst one. I thanked RNGesus and called it a night after that. If you have the patience, please check out the whole replay. A very entertaining game.
Just beat a toggwaggle druid in wild just by getting my deck down to three cards left when he played toggwaggle and the ransom spell just evaporated...... no azalina for him.
Tesspionage Rogue remains hella fun. Played my longest (turn-wise) game against a Druid running hybrid Quest/Hadronox deck. RNGesus clearly on my side as I stole good stuff, but what ultimately won the game with mill of all things. Naturalize plus THREE Tess Greymanes (original from deck, second copy from Flobbidinous Floop, third copy from Splintergraft). By the time that third Tess hit they had a board with 2 The Lich Kings and a host of Dragons, but it didn't matter as they were so deep into Fatigue they took 7+8 dmg and then another 9 on the start of their turn. Nearly on OTK's worth of Fatigue after almost 40 turns. Glorious.
Come round, come all and hear the story of how an innocent and sweetly fun deck in Casual came across a foulFrost Lich Jaina...and won in a manner worthy of a tale!
So there I was, messing around with a Mech Rogue deck for the fun of it in Casual, as one should. My opponent is naturally a more meta deck, an Odd Mage. Sigh...Fine. I suppose it is just Casual for me then.
As the turns slowly play out, Turn 3 brought something...unique. On this turn, this day, the gods of Hearthstone decided to be generous and I recieve a Frost Lich Jaina of my own from a Blink Fox. As much as this infernal cardburns in my hand, which I despise with a passion and for which a little happy dance will be performed when she rotates, using her to fight fire with fire should be an acceptable choice...right?Right!
So we do our turns as players do and on the very turn my opponent plays her own Frost Lich Jaina unabated and unafraid with a wicked smile...I do the same. My opponent is shocked. Suddenly the evil is now looking in a mirror. Looking afraid. Normally when one sees her played, it is an icy slow death by Lifesteal and Frozen effects as that wench only gets stronger. But no... not this time. This time, Casual bit back.
But you may say, 'The opponent has the benefit of having Elemental cards! It is futile still!'. And on any other day, this would be true. But this was not such a day...
For I had the unsuspected advantage of Magnetic giving me minions that are high enough in health that they can not be easily converted into those dreaded Water Elementals. Still, I was cautious. Aware of the Voodoo Doll waiting in the wings. Yet, this would only deal with one of my minions and my opponent had used one Flamestrike already. There was a chance in air. There was...hope! For Odd Mage has no Meteor or Polymorph available to further deal with my powerful minions. Suddenly, the enemy Jaina was the one shivering in the cold.
And by the power of Magnetic, I was able trade safely on the board, weakening the evil Elementals and...with a regret in my soul...use that blighted Hero Power against my opponent. I admit, that power felt...wrong. It felt... cold. But one cannot be picky when staring a cold slow death in the face. It must be fought by any means. And thus my own Water Elementals began to rise...with no enemy Water Elementals to face them!
And with no Water Elementals of her own, my Water Elementals went uncontested. What was normally the case for my opponent, endlessly Freezing minions and converting them into evil...this...power...was now my own. And better yet, alongside my legion of Water Elementals the Mechs stood strong, ready for any Magnetic friend to join the fray. I could hardly believe my eyes. Could this be? Defeating a Frost Lich Jaina on her own turf? With Mech Rogue innocence? In Casual?!
Surely my opponent was feeling the heat by now. I had so many Water Elementals one might consider it an impossibility, a Zilliax that is somehow bigger than the Water Elementals around it! What shall my opponent play against this? Will she Voodoo Doll the Zilliax perhaps? Blizzard is thankfully not an option due to choosing an Odd deck. As my thoughts gather, I can only consider...whatever shall happen next? The usual tale with Frost Lich Jaina at this juncture is always marked by a hope-crushing play that against all odds turns it around in the opponent's favor, granting evil yet another reprieve. But what could be played now? And then it came. The opponent throws out...
Could...could this be a mistake? Does Onyxia have a place in Odd Mage? Was I unaware of a meta shift perhaps? Did I miss it? Or...could it be...that...perhaps my opponent was not... playing a meta deck after all? No...no...it did not matter. Frost Lich Jaina was in the opponent's deck and it was played. In Casual. That was evil enough.
Still...there was no time to waste. I could not let doubt cloud my judgment and face the dreaded rope. Thinking with simple logic, Onyxia does not provide a Taunt and the 1/1 Whelps will give me yet another Water Elemental. Surely my opponent knows this. Still, could this somehow be more than a random play? All those Whelps will give my opponent a Water Elemental as well! Perhaps a comeback for my opponent could start there? As I ponder, my opponent ends her turn and my turn begins. Before my next thought, the gods of Hearthstone decided enough is enough and draw me a...... Fan of Knives!
With an Assassinate already in hand for Onyxia herself, this was the icing on the cake to smite all evil. With exactly 10 mana I could make one more Water Elemental from a Whelp, Fan of Knives the rest and then AssassinateOnyxia herself:
And thusly it happened. Afterwards, my powerful board striked at the heart of evil itself, leaving it at a lowly 8 Health. Before more could be done or said, the evil conceded! Frost Lich Jaina had been defeated by a fun deck, in Casual!
Now I can hear your voices...yes...it is true...the opponent lost against another Frost Lich Jaina you might say, but sometimes... there is no choice. No other option. No option but to fight Water Elementals with...Water Elementals. And it won the day.
And thus my story concludes. I pray you enjoyed this epic tale and will always remember the evil of Frost Lich Jaina. More evil than never recruiting Garrus or killing Wrex in Mass Effect or even killing Paarthunax in Skyrim. Yes, my children...such is the evil of that vile card.
With that, I bid you a good night, and until the next story...
PS: the Tauren card was from a Stonehill Defender. I can see you looking!
In the middle of my best ever Arena run (and with Shaman, no less) and I’m almost too scared to keep playing!
Favorite win so far was game 7, when my opponent played Deathwing, clearing my board when I had basically nothing in hand. He went face instead of clearing my minions and I was able to kill it with Flametongue + Bloodlust, but not before he got me down to 6 health. We topdecked for the rest of the game and I was able to pull it out. Crazy luck this run!
Beating a wall Priest with Big Spell Mage because he stole my taunt, buffed it up to a 32/32, BM'd a well played but didn't expect my secret to be Ice Barrier taking me up to 33 health.
Come round, come all and hear the story of how an innocent and sweetly fun deck in Casual came across a foulFrost Lich Jaina...and won in a manner worthy of a tale!

I simply had one of those "never concede" matches yesterday. Playing Wall Priest against Mech Warrior, just to finish my Priest Daily. Hadn't played much this month and decided to just try out Wall Priest and see for myself what all the fuzz was about. Was not disappointed. In that match however, I misplayed slightly and built a huge board into both my opponent's Reckless Flurrys. So, on turn 22 my deck was empty and my hand consisted only of combo pieces, one useless Army of the Dead and Shadow Madness. I didn't concede though as I knew that there still was an Unpowered Steambot in my opponent's deck. He got that earlier through Omega Assembly and I had Screamed it back into his deck. With 11 cards remaining in his deck and him knowing what I was playing, I didn't think it would be very likely for him to drop that anytime soon, but that was exactly what happened the following turn. He used Dyn-o-matic to clear my last Tar Creeper and then dropped said Unpowered Steambot he had just drawn. I thanked him, took control of it, buffed it up to 36/36 and ended that 18-minute-match.

okay this is nuts

Beat a lame Shadowreaper, Quest, Benedictus Priest. Got a lucky priest roll with renounce and stole a lot of his cards, like Amara.
Beat 2 mecha-c'thun Druids totday. Feels good man... Hate that anti-gameplay deck

I managed to beat a turn 3 Prince Keleseth Shadowstep Prince Keleseth Shadowstep Prince Keleseth with a far-from-being-optimized Beast Druid. All this in Standard Casual.
Can I get a fucken Pogchamp?
I actually managed to beat a stupid Kingsbane Rogue because Sneed's Old Shredder pulled Mayor Noggenfogger

This! I was at 4HP btw:)
I do what I must, when I must. Know this well.
To Odd Paladin, from Odd Mage
The fight was taking long and the board was in your control,
Your side was pretty full, while mine had a single soul,
My minion was alone, and you thought it wasn't strong,
Because whatever is the threat of one Clockwork Automaton,
You were at 12, I was at 10, so you were leading the race,
You could have killed my minion, but preferred to go full face,
That brought me down to 4, so this would be my last round,
You had five recruits, and a taunt that would hold its ground,
My card was drawn, you taunted me, this was the final call,
We'd have to deal with you on this last dice's roll,
You greeted me and taunted me, you thought you had it made,
Up to the next rank with you, while I would be waylaid,
The cards were thrown, you were surprised, for in your darkest hour,
You never had expected to be hit with a 12-damage hero power,
Your portrait shattered, your voice died away,
I laughed out loud, for this twist of fate, certainly made my day!
Final turn:
Clockwork Automaton on the board, 10 mana in pool
Play: Daring Fire-Eater + Zola the Gorgon on Fire-Eater + second Daring Fire-Eater + Hero Power = 12 damage to face
Don't try this at home:
Yep, I did win that game.
TL:DR: who needs decent ramp cards in druid when they don't kill your alarm-o-bot.
Beating a wall Priest with Big Spell Mage because he stole my taunt, buffed it up to a 32/32, BM'd a well played but didn't expect my secret to be Ice Barrier taking me up to 33 health.
