Just beat a big priest in wild, i use sylvans to obtain his Lyra. Knock him down to 15 health and get mass dispel as a reward :).
Next turn he ressurects everything, emotes "well played" as its now his game and im in fatigue, until mass dispel and 16 dmage on board felt so good ....
That feeling when suboptimal choices in Arena draft pay off. I drafted a horrible Mage deck, one of the worst ones ever (checked my HearthArena - it's the worst one since September, point wise). Anyways... I sometimes like to choose the risky/fun card and this time went for Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk instead of Baron Geddon. The first two games I lost with basically no chance to win - no awful plays on my part, just got steamrolled. But in the third one I went against a Paladin. It went to top deck mode but I was barely scraping - he was slowly wearing me down but I managed to stay alive thanks to a lucky Ice Barrier from Shimmering Tempest. Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk activates on an empty board with him at almost full health. In the end it was my Ragnaros the Firelord versus his two minions, him at 8 hp and me most probably dead the next turn.
I spent three turns playing nothing and just healing against his 1 life Voidlord and Gul'dan's HP. Then I decided to go Shadowreaper Anduin in order to shake up the situation, given that he was slowly killing me. He immediately plays his other Mountain Giant and a Dread Infernal. Jebaited. Double Shadow Word: Death kept in hand for that exact moment, followed by Alexstrasza on him with no cards in the deck and double Mind Blast to close the game.
Please, please let me hear it again: "Bloody Hellfire!"
So my daily quest was to defeat 3 Dungeon Run bosses to receive a pack. I not only ended up completing a run with Mage, one of the two classes I haven't finished the Dungeon Run with (only Priest left!), but the pack I got contained a golden Harrison Jones! Talk about being extremely lucky for an hour of work. :D
Finally got rank 15 in standard. You are going to tell me git gud scrub. And yeah. I mean the joy is doing it playing a deck I don't know and hence learning a thing or two. I also got coached a bit by legend players.
I did then noticed a lot of mistakes. I mean I went rank 5 a lot but could not get past it. And now I did win some bad matchups and make some outplays. I did not tilt nor rage. Feels good. I will stick to my deck and see if I can go back to 5 in the next season or two. (I sort of gave up in September and went back to 20).
Played as Big Priest (i know) against a quest mage (not exodia) running a bunch of draw/mill cards. Milled some of my minions, including Ragnaros the Firelord and Obsidian Statue, forcing me to dump AoE spells onto empty boards and attack his face with Frostmourne, emoting “Amazing” pretty much every turn.
Wish I could have seen the look on his face when he realized he had accelerated the game towards fatigue and I was way ahead of him. Into fatigue with one health left, he ropes me while I spam the greatest emote in the Hearthstone emote lexicon.
OMG. I AM FACING DANE. FINALLY. YOU CAN EVEN GO TO HIS TWTCH AND SEE.
[edit] And I died. :D Damn, it was fun while it lasted.
[edit 2] Faced him for a second time. Well I kinda sniped him, but only because I really wanted to play against him. I feel like a fan girl. Seriously I have been dying to play against him ever since I started watching his videos. He always played in legend ladder and in the past I didn't have the chance to queue against him (cuz I was playing in standard and he doesn't go to casual), but boy my fun decks were ready for him at that time.
Another spam. Today I faced a hell ton of combo decks on the ladder. It was a really bad experience, cuz all they did was cycling and stalling. But luckily for me I faced some "normal" opponents and I got to rob them:
Renolock
Yeah, I stole their DK from one of my oracles earlier (didn't summon any demons, but nvm - this was still a nice catch). So my opponent had me cornered. They destroyed my deck and thought I was going to lose to fatigue. I swear, I love surprising people and beating them with their own cards:
Some turns later:
Healed for 20+.
And miraculously I managed to steal their DK again. If only they knew. :C
And against a Minionful Secret Hunter (they utilize stuff like To My Side! once they reach fatigue and go for Zul'jin).
In the early game Chameleos warned me about this legendary. So I wanted to build up some spells and surprise my opponent. I was kinda afraid that I will miss this opportunity. because I didn;t see Zul'jin for probably 15-20 turns after the first transformation.

Stealing the Reno with that quest, that's just insane ;)
Stealing the Reno with that quest, that's just insane ;)
Yeah. But it was more insane drawing Benedictus right before they played Azari.
In that game I was one turn away from Entomb-ing Rin. I didn't have the spell in my hand on turn 6, so I had to fetch it with Shadow Visions. My opponent foresaw this happening, so they immediately cast Siphon Soul on her. From turn 8 onwards their strategy was casting the seals and aiming for the 10/10. So you can imagine how little time I had, in order to find my best cards before the devouring turn (I had 16 cards or so in my deck with almost no cycle). Yeah, I won't deny that I got to steal their strong cards from their remaining pile, but finding Benedictus on time was the luckiest draw in that game.
I finally fucking did it!! Had double health, rod of roasting, double battlecrys and the candle (last game, unused)
Had some interesting games in my run too, rod of roasting saved me twice vs the snake lady and the wax on wax off guy but I was too scared to use it against the final dragon guy and chose the slow win instead.
Weird interaction with the boss that has the hero power "eats" the minion with the highest attack, weeeell I found out if said minion has poisonous it just dies and if you play Pit Snake on turn 1 it's a free win.
Like I said the final boss was the dragon with treasures. Had a bad start but he played the dragon that gives 2 coins when killed and to rouge that is amazing, when his first treasure died I got "draw a card and fill your hand with it" drew the Jade Shuriken and with all my coins I just had him pinned and ended up with loads of jades, he destroyed them with mad topdeck skills and I ended up doing the last point of damage with my hero power knife.
So glad I never have to do that again and that was the most satisfying knife hit ever.
I'm playing control priest against some weird spiteful zoo guy. He over commits like mad on turn three, I drop dusk breaker on turn four, leaving myself a damaged but functional tar creeper. He drops spitefuls later on which I deal with, even a lucky tirion. It's a horrible deck, he's running twisting nether and that new hard removal card to power the spitefuls, with the classic heal zoo shell. He misplays a fungalmancer to the right of two minions, and basically has a wretched game. Afterwards he friends me and lets me know dusk breaker is broken and I won because of one card, blah blah. And I actually enjoyed his baby rage. It made me feel good to be called a moron by a bad zoo player.
I know hunter is getting a lot of hate right now. I was trying all kinds of decks to ladder with, control lock to break combos wasn’t getting no luck, odd quest warrior, just too inconsistent, even paladin was just super unlucky with my draws. So I thought screw this I have the cards Let me try spell hunter. Solid deck go on to win almost 12 straight wins. Can’t beat them.......etc

To be great is to be misunderstood.
Wrong thread. No good news to report.
My girl gave me a BJ afterwards that day. but told her she was just second best to this:
Clearly you have never Counterspelled an UI ;)
Went as a Priest against an Even Warlock (you can tell how it went based on the fact that I post here).
He kept spamming emotes during al the game. Every single good thing for him was followed by an emote.
He played two Demonic Project which gave me a Doubling Imp and a Nightmare Amalgam and gave him a damn Voidlord and Lord Jaraxxus. But that's almost fair: I got two lucky Mass Hysteria and nearly cleared the board twice.
Seance and played his The Lich King, who gave me Death Grip to steal one of his Mountain Giant. Sick play.
Jebaited. When that one classic pack you bought drops a golden Lord Jaraxxus. Ah, that's love.
Spirit of the Shark + Pogo Hopper = lol
