I didn't even realise I was on my way to earn this achievement during the game. The build was just about to really take off too! I went from one to 4 kalecgos in a turn. (Keeping two faceless taverngoers in hand for two turns will do that for you.)
Had a great match earlier this afternoon against an Envoy Rustwix warlock. I was playing highlander mage.
Long story, short, RNG was in my favour a few times and it felt great. Something that doesn't always happen.
Had to deal with a very large board at one point, and my only out was to use Conjurer's Calling on one of his 2-drops. And it actually became a Doomsayer!
I almost felt bad for that Token Druid I faced today. I hard countered him with my garbage Spell/Control/OTK Shaman deck (for landslide achievement). In the end, he was fatiguing and down to <10 HP while I was at full health with some cards left, including a ~20 dmg Hagatha's Scheme that I didn't need to use.
We don't have a random thread so I figure this will do as I am not complaining.
Is the pity timer real?
I know you will get a legendary among your first 10 packs of any expansion but does it go beyond that? I know it used to be said the pity timer ensures one legendary every 20 packs but this could be a myth. If there is a pity timer it might be advantageous to open packs from Phoenix expansions after I get common and rare Barrens cards up to the point I open my first legendary (not counting the "guaranteed" ones I already opened). That way I stock up on commons and rares from those expansions on the cheap thanks to duplicate protection and top it off with a legendary. Ideally a source is good but not necessary.
Since you refused to accept my invite so i can congratulate you for your stamina... but JUP, YOU LOST with FOUR played tickatus and 4x discarded cards. Sad.
So another priest vs warlock game. Literally nothing happens until turn 4 except for him life tapping on turn 2. On his turn 4 he plays The Dark Portal and I am preparing for the worst and that he just pulled his Tickatus. Then he follows it up with a coin and Felosophy. Yep, bad news bears. So my turn 5? I kindly ask him to share his thoughts with the class... NOW! What do I find in his hand? Two one mana uncorrupted tickatus. How much mana do I have leave? Exactly two. :D https://hsreplay.net/replay/DjmZ3kGf4PJdZuMexWQJzD
To his credit, he didn't concede to me burning 10 cards from his deck before swapping back.
Would have loved to see my opponents face when I cleared both the board from his Y'Shaarj, the Defiler and his Carnival Clowns one turn later with my homebrew Dude Pally, while drawing from an empty to a full hand thanks to Cult Master and killing him the next turn with double Blessing of Kings on my Goody Two-Shields.
But I'm kind of salty now that I forgot to start my deck tracker, so I can't relive this glorious moment.
Just got OTKd by a warr - and it was apparantly accidental as the warr didn't think it would be doubled to face! Wasn't expecting leaving a spell damage to minion doubler out to be 38 dam, but that was a nice way to lose :) Ashtongue, Silas, Slam, GG :) Loving that it was accidental, too, that's just the icing on the cake.
To that big warrior that I just played on ladder... I'm sorry! I mean no disrespect from my emotes, but I am truly amazed that I got as lucky as I did.
As a counterpoint to the last post in the Salt Thread, I did it. Eeked my way into Diamond 5, first time I climbed this high in the new system (first time I saw the new system really) since I only came back a month ago. But it was a grind from hell, I must have been on the very brink of hitting Diamond 5 like 10 times but always got pushed back a few steps back. Just in time too because my deck gets nerfed later today.
Bonus happy points: Some priest was one the ropes, I had the board, my hand was monster, next turn he way dead. Takes my hand and deck with the legendary, my hand is low and discounted, plays all, turns it around, has a good chance of winning now. My turn I draw his own Zephrys, lethal him :D
I've got that spicy pretzel mustard!!!

Later on, he dropped Vectus, and The Amazing Reno's What Does This Do? decided to cast Plague of Murlocs for me.
Sometimes it all works out.
I mean, I ended up losing the game, but it was kinda fun, anyway.
Well there's something you don't see every day

Ceterum censeo classum magi esse delendam.
Thank you Odd Rogue
Long live the Glacial Shard !!!
This is exactly why I can't take Tickatus complaints seriously. I am pretty I can count the times I lost to it on one hand.

"On her first day on the job, Myra removed the smoke detectors."
Everything up today 40 games from D5 to legend with 72% winrate.

Waited just for the right moment.

Feels good to beat Tickatus Warlock with C'thun Rogue.

disks of legend + anomaly

I played a Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron and got both Eye for an Eye and Misdirection, while he had two Scrapyard Colossus on board.
He was at 13 health, I traded down my last minion so my board was empty. He attacked with one... hit his face.
He attacked with the other... took 7 from Eye for an Eye.
Sometimes these things just happen.

Finally became legend and at the same time "On a Roll" Achievement with 12 wins. I never thought i would ever get 12 wins in a row.
And now my first 12-0 duel run + achievement. What a great HS day.
