winning because of opponent's confusion is just hilarious. my opponent was a galakrond shaman. i always had enough answers to keep the board clear to 1 or 2 minions with pretty low attack while at the same time never developing any threat to him whatsoever, minion wise. turn 8-ish onwards i always left 6 to 8 mana unused per turn, basically just playing small removal spells or draw, but never developed minions. i assume all my opponent had was reactionary cards that would have nothing to attack or respond to at all. he also must have thought "what in gods name is this guy keeping in his hand all this time?". his respond time became longer and longer per turn, while i just played a removal or hero power and passed my turn over straight away. a couple turns later he just quit the game :)
Facing a Tempo DH and he misplays a bunch of times, and for some odd reason has 2 Faceless manipulator in his deck? I can't for the life of me figure out why.
Inspired by the previous battleground where I lost first place to a Golden Kobold that had 145 in stats ^-^ (And also the first time I've ever gotten a full golden board, something either I die before or they do 1-2 minions short)
My final opponent had a solid chance of winning since before this final warband I had lost to them, but I can't figure out for the life of me why they made their maexxna golden instead of just leaving the 2 poisonous minions on the board.
Ranked game vs res priest. He got me dead, and decides to play with me. I make an incredible comeback and decide to return the favor and let him live at 1 health. He makes a strong comeback. And it ends with a tense finish. I counted, and he actually resurrected Obsidian Statue 40 times. That must be some kind of record, lol.
It's always pretty cute to disabuse someone who thought his standard deck would do just as well in wild, but especially a retardemon hunter, always emoting, who thought that he had a sliver of a chance, for some reason. I saw it fit to emote after every card played as soon as my jepetto drew aviana on turn 4, finished the game with more armour than he had life. Extremely satisfying.
Oh god, I could hear my opponent absolutely raging in righteous fury on the other side of my ipad... Playing Pure Pally I managed to get a pretty sizeable board after my quest/taunt priest opponent got their quest completed. He slaps down Mass Resurrection and gets his twin Khartut Defenders and the lone Convincing Infiltrator that died and later Catrina Muerte.
And yet each and every time the CI was resurrected/duplicated/whatever, their deathrattles always hit my little 1/1 tokens I had just spawned instead of the heavy hitters.
Say what you like about the exp track thingy, but it got me to play Arena for the first time in probably a year. I needed four wins for the quest and finished 5-3.
The scary thing? I HAD FUN DOING IT. I cheered when I got win #4! That hardly ever happens with me and games now.
Fun times, I go as maly druid and find myself with Aviana, spreading plague and Kun in hand after the mulligan against a dh. I was there wondering if I should just concede, I hear the "none will survive", clicked down on the right and on concede but apparently the guy had managed to do that quicker than me because I somehow won the game after I'd clicked concede. That was pretty hilarious, all things considered.
The best pack I have ever opened.
Golden heroes: Warlock, Druid, Mage, Hunter
